Station Description

Most of the stuff on here is about Ham Radio, especially about Ham Radio Contests.

I am located in the town of Peru in Berkshire County in Massachusetts in the USA. Berkshire County is the farthest west county in Massachusetts . Peru has the highest town center in Massachusetts . My station is located near the north end of town at an elevation of about 1900' AMSL.

I make my station available for guest operators most weekends for contests and special events. If you are interested check out the calendar of events below. There is no charge for this, I just ask that you come with a positive attitude and plan on operating as much as you can. I would rather see operators interested in getting on the air using the station than just having it sit here. If you are interested in learning more about contesting you can also visit during the multi-operator events that are on the calendar, those are good times to meet other contesters and get answers to your questions. You may also want to check out the ARRL and Yankee Clipper Contest Club web sites for more information on Ham Radio and Contesting.

I have an Aluminum and Steel Farm in Peru Mass. I grow a variety of towers and antennas, mostly for the HF Contest bands. I presently have 5 towers (6 if you count the one with the TV and 2m talk-in antennas) ranging from 60' to 180' tall. I also have 6 1/2 operating positions with radios, amplifiers, computers, and all that other stuff that is needed to keep a station running.

Scores and other history moved to Here

If there is something else you expect to find here look on the Wiki as things will be moving as I continue the conversion to that format.

FREE! Software

I have programs for propagation prediction and utilities for use with the CT contest logging program and the PacketCluster network software.

Internet Links

Like everyone else, I have a list of interesting links.  If you want to see sites I have found interesting I have added an export of my personal links, otherwise the list below breaks down ones that I have extracted from various sources.  There are also some links from the Technical Reference pages where they apply to particular topics.
