An easy-made J-Pole Dualband-Antenna
The J-Pole-Antenna is an easy-construction antenna very useful for
terrestrical FM-QSOs and especially fine for using with polar orbitting
satellites like the Russian space station MIR, the Pacsat's or the new
International Space Station (ISS). The advance of this antenna compared
to normal vertical antennas is that the minimum of radiation in vertical
direction is not so low. This means at overhead-passes it is still possible
receiving a signal of the satellite.
Another advance is that the antenna is not sensitive for electro-static
discharges (ESD) because the DC-Input-resistance is a short circuit. This
is a welcome protection for your receiver inputstage :-)
The construction diagrams I got from a friend of mine: Jose-Luis (EA6IC)

Here are some pictures of my selfmade J-Pole Duoband-Antenna:

I had to use other dimensiones for getting the best performance. (Results

an analyzation of a NetworkAnalyzer)
I will publish my dimensions as soon as I measured them at my model
:-)
