Opinion on small rig for beginners

Bought one from AES for 120 US Dollars.
Opened and made QSO's from Budapest with Russian, Dutch, some other EU countries.
Heard lots of Turkish and other stations.
Regret to say, there are lot of signals, not belonging to that band which are not received by rigs like Yeasu, Kenwood and others, because the DR-MO3SX has a very poor dinamic range when operating with big aerial.
Pros: small and smart
Cons: dinamic range and power against orice
