overall good utility rig

noise blanker stil is no good on auto/power line noise. DSP works good still only one band at a time unless you toggle from memory to VFO. and rig would be the "ultimate" with dual vfos and cross band repeat also remote head kit is simple to use as well have 2 of these rigs one base one mobile overall good rig.
Pros: compact easy to operate base/mobile
Cons: only one band at a time(ya listening ICOM!?) NB too

The NB and DSP NB on my rig work FB and make life a lot easier. Your mileage may vary depending on your vehicle type. This radio is the perfect size for me since I carry it in a backpack. It will come with me during my upcoming deployment to Iraq. The MARS/CAP mod was EASY and I will do both MARS and ham operations. I highly suggest the DTMF mic option if you do any Echolink or repeater phone-patches. For you SSB types, the stock mic includes a high-quality Heil element and sounds excellent on the air.
Pros: Small all-in-one package. Heil element in stock microphone.
Cons: It generates a lot of heat even in receive mode.

i like this radio bc you dont have radio out the but in shack. more space on table or shelves for other things. hate is that you recvied to side at once..
Pros: easy to take on trips and in car i like bc all mode and goes anywhere
Cons: dont like 2 port and no swr read on440/2m side
