The platform clarifies that some valid call signs, never previously held since online FCC record-keeping began, may not appear in search results; for such cases, a separate "call lookup" function is recommended to verify availability before applying.

The service provides crucial guidance on the application process, noting that applications should generally not be filed before the indicated "Available Date" unless the applicant is a former holder or a close family member.
