Yaesu FT-897According to the CQ OHM blog site, Yaesu will stop production of the popular quadriband transceiver FT-897D  in June 2014.

The transceiver presented in 2002 has quicky gained the popularity thanks to the possibility to operate in HF , 6 Meters, VHF and UHF bands. Similar to the FT-897 the japanese company released also the FT-857 and the QRP vertion FT-817.
