The CQ WW DX Contest, CW edition, is a premier event in the amateur radio contesting calendar, taking place annually on the last full weekend of November. We aim to contact as many other amateurs in as many CQ zones and countries as possible across the globe. Participants engage in a flurry of activity, making contacts and exchanging basic signal reports along with their CQ Zone number. This global pursuit unfolds over 48 hours, from Saturday 00:00 UTC to Sunday 23:59 UTC, utilizing CW (Morse code) exclusively. We operate across all six major amateur bands: 160m, 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m, and 10m. For newcomers, we recommend focusing on one or two bands to get a feel for the contest before attempting all-band operation. Always consult the official rules for precise category definitions, exchange formats, and scoring details.
