Current JTTY Frequencies
JTTY is the RTTY-style keyboard mode introduced with WSJT-X 3.2.0-rc1 on September 23, 2026 . The mode is brand new, so activity is concentrated in a few spots. The WSJT development team has published a first list of suggested dial frequencies, and the main meeting place for now is 14.090 MHz on 20 m.

The developers describe this list as very preliminary. They expect some or all of these frequencies to change if JTTY becomes popular. We will update this page whenever new values are published.
How to Use JTTY Frequencies on the Air
Like the other WSJT-X modes, JTTY runs with the radio in USB or USB-Data, so the values above are dial frequencies. The actual on-air frequency is the dial frequency plus the audio offset of the signal on the waterfall.
A JTTY signal is only about 127 Hz wide, so several QSOs can share the same dial frequency at different audio offsets. There is one important difference from FT8. In FT8, two stations can use the same audio frequency without colliding because they transmit in alternating even and odd periods. JTTY has no periods: anyone can transmit at any time. Before calling CQ, find a clear spot on the waterfall. Signal subtraction and adaptive decoding help recover overlapping signals, but that is no reason to transmit on top of another station.
Band plans differ between IARU regions and between countries. Check that each frequency falls in a segment where narrowband digital modes are permitted where you operate [See: IARU band plans].
Adding JTTY Frequencies to WSJT-X and N1MM Logger+
In WSJT-X 3.2.0-rc1 or later [see: WSJT-X software category], most of these frequencies load when you right-click the table on the Settings | Frequencies tab and select Reset. Be aware that Reset also erases any frequencies you entered manually. If you keep a customized table, right-click it and choose Insert to add the JTTY entries one at a time instead. You can also mark an entry as Preferred and give it a descriptive label.
With N1MM Logger+ version 1.0.11449 or later [See: contest logging software – N1MM Logger+], type JTTY in the callsign field to start WSJT-X in JTTY mode. To QSY, type the frequency in the N1MM Entry window as usual.
