Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) is a digital signaling protocol enabling HF radio stations to automatically establish communication links, crucial for emergency and disaster relief operations. HFLINK serves as a central international resource for ALE High Frequency Communications, HF Selective Calling (SELCALL), and general HF interoperability. The platform provides extensive information on ALE operation, including frequency networks, band plans, and software like _PCALE_ for amateur radio integration. It also documents significant events such as the _HF Interoperability Exercise (HFIE)_ and the _Global Simulated Emergency Test (GlobalSET)_, which allow ham operators to gain real-world experience in interoperable HF communications, often using specific frequencies like the USA 5 MHz ALE simplex frequency 5371.5 kHz USB. The site features articles on antenna types popular among ALE users, such as autotuners and broadband antennas like the _T2FD_ and the Broadband Butterfly Terminated Dipole (BBTD).

The ÖVSV website provides extensive resources for Austrian radio amateurs, including details on its nine **Landesverbände** (regional sections) and the Austrian Military Radio Society (AMRS). It features information on licensing, legal frameworks, and **band plans** for both HF and VHF/UHF operations. The site also covers various amateur radio activities such as contests (HF, VHF/Microwave, Alpe-Adria, SOTA, ARDF), technical projects like WRAN, and educational content explaining what amateur radio is and how to become a licensed operator. Recent news items highlight events like the "Laa Funk '26" exhibition, the "OE5XLM" club station's participation in the CQ WW Contest, and the "International Marconi Day 2026" activation by "OE26M" from Küniglberg. The site lists upcoming events, including a 160m OE-Aktivitätsrunde, a seminar on Baluns/Ununs, and various club meetings and flea markets. Membership is facilitated through regional sections, and the site emphasizes amateur radio's role in independent communication during crises.

The Four Metres website offer a global overview graph of the four meter band plans world wide

The RSGB Band Plan is normally published annually in the February edition of RadCom and additionally reviewed mid-year. It is derived from the IARU Region 1 Band Plan taking into account any proposed national variations or special amendments, which are considered necessary by the relevant spectrum manager.

Amateur radio repeaters extend communication range for mobile and remote stations by retransmitting signals on a different frequency, often for emergency communications. The resource details various repeater bands, noting that 2 meters and 70 cm are primary for activity, with 10-meter repeaters offering potential national and overseas coverage. It specifies **18 channels** on 6 meters and **31 channels** on 2 meters, along with a new 70 cm offset of _7 MHz_ adopted in 2015. The content explains how repeaters can be linked via dedicated transmitters/receivers, landlines, or Internet VoIP systems like _IRLP_ and Echolink, enabling global connections. It also describes simplex gateways for multi-band operation and the use of CTCSS subaudible tones for access control and interference mitigation. The document highlights specialized repeaters for modes beyond voice, such as SSTV and ATV, particularly on 70cm and higher bands. Operational guidelines for efficient and courteous repeater use are referenced, along with links to Australian repeater listings and band plans.

Presents an interactive **Ham Bands Explorer** web application, offering a live view of all amateur radio bands overlaid on a world map. This resource displays **CQ zones** and **ITU zones**, with geographical data sourced from HB9HIL/hamradio-zones-geojson under an MIT license. The interface provides a dynamic visualization of global band conditions, enabling operators to observe activity patterns across different regions. Users can select individual countries to retrieve and display their specific band plans, with frequency coverage details loaded from CountryData.json. The tool indicates 100% frequency coverage, ensuring comprehensive data presentation for selected regions. This functionality supports detailed analysis of national regulatory variations within the amateur spectrum. The application integrates both a map view and a live view, facilitating real-time monitoring and geographical context for band usage. It serves as a practical reference for understanding international amateur radio regulations and visualizing propagation characteristics across various frequency allocations.

Presents the 4th edition of the IARU Region 1 Ethics and Operating Procedures for the Radio Amateur, a fully rewritten guide published in July 2026. It establishes a shared basis for respectful and effective communication within the amateur radio community, building upon over fifteen years of prior work. The document details the purposes of amateur radio, principles of non-interference, electromagnetic compatibility, and station safety. It specifies operating procedures, including listening practices, adherence to IARU and national band plans, appropriate transmission content, use of Q-codes, and the phonetic alphabet. The guide provides instructions for conducting QSOs across phone, CW, and various digital modes. Specific sections address managing pileups, participating in contesting, engaging in DX and DXpedition operations, operating portable or mobile, and conducting station testing. Further sections cover VHF and UHF operating considerations, ensuring a comprehensive resource for both experienced operators and those new to the hobby.
