Amateur Radio in Denmark: Clubs and Information
Find a curated list of ham radio clubs, organizations, and useful resources for operators in Denmark.
Amateur radio activity in Denmark centers around local clubs and the national association, Experimenterende Danske Radioamatoerer (EDR). Danish hams engage in a variety of on-air operations, from casual QSOs on HF and VHF bands to contesting and antenna projects. Many operators enjoy building their own equipment and experimenting with different modes.
The EDR provides a central hub for Danish operators, supporting local club activities and representing ham radio interests. Local clubs, such as EDR-Aalborg, offer meeting places, shared radio equipment, and opportunities for new licensees to get on the air. Operators interested in homebrew projects can also find tools like SkalaDesign for creating custom front panels and dial scales for their transceivers.

EDR-Aalborg was started in 1939 as an association for active radio amateurs. The purpose is to create unity between current amateurs and to give the new ones a good start. The club has radio equipment for HF, VHF and UHF, with all types of modulation. The club's radios can of course only be used by licensed amateurs.
