IARU HF World Championship

The IARU HF World Championship is a fantastic opportunity for amateur radio operators to hone their skills and connect with fellow enthusiasts globally. We aim to contact as many IARU member society headquarters stations and different ITU zones as possible, fostering international communication and technical proficiency. During the contest, which takes place over a 24-hour period beginning at 1200 UTC on the second full weekend of July, we make contacts on 160m, 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m, and 10m using CW. We exchange basic signal reports and information relevant to our station type, whether we are a headquarters station, a member of an IARU administrative council, or a general participant. For newcomers, we recommend focusing on making consistent contacts and understanding the exchange format.
