The UBA DX Contest, held annually on the last Saturday of January, is a fantastic opportunity for operators worldwide to connect on the air. We participate using SSB on 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m, and 10m. The primary goal of this contest is to contact as many amateur radio stations as possible, with a special emphasis on working Belgian stations and collecting their unique UBA section identifiers, which serve as multipliers. Participants call "CQ UBA" and exchange basic signal reports along with a serial number. Belgian stations also include their UBA section abbreviation in the exchange. The contest runs for 24 hours, from 13:00 UTC on Saturday to 13:00 UTC on Sunday. For first-time participants, we recommend focusing on making as many contacts as possible and thoroughly logging all exchange information. Always consult the official rules for exact categories, exchange formats, and scoring details.
