Presents a Brazilian online portal dedicated to **amateur radio**, **CB radio**, and shortwave listening (SWL) communities. The platform facilitates free classified advertisements for radio equipment, including HF, VHF, and UHF transceivers, antennas, and accessories. It also aggregates a substantial collection of technical articles from Brazilian amateur radio operators (e.g., PY2DJW, PY1LJ, PY1LL/4LC), covering topics such as CW training with RufzXP, balun importance, and radio wave characteristics. Furthermore, the resource provides extensive links to Brazilian ham radio sites, clubs, international organizations, and official ANATEL (Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency) documents regarding licensing, equipment homologation, and regulations. The portal features sections for user evaluations of transactions, a "Top Ten" list of most visited pages, and a calendar of past and upcoming ham radio events across Brazil, including "Feirinhas" (local swap meets) and "Encontros de Radioamadores" (hamfests). It also includes a directory of ham radio related businesses and services in Brazil, such as antenna manufacturers (Diex), QSL card printers (Arte Final), and repair technicians (PY2MOK). The site also offers propagation maps, DX cluster links (e.g., DX-SUMMIT), and satellite tracking tools, making it a central hub for Brazilian radio amateurs seeking to buy, sell, learn, or connect with the community.

The _Sci.Electronics FAQ: Repair: RFI/EMI Info_ document, authored by Daniel 9V1ZV, provides a detailed analysis of computer-generated RFI/EMI, focusing on its impact on radio reception. It identifies common RFI sources such as CPU clock rates (e.g., 4.77 MHz to 80 MHz), video card oscillators (e.g., 14.316 MHz), and even keyboard microprocessors, all of which generate square-wave harmonics across HF and L-VHF regions. The resource outlines a systematic procedure for pinpointing RFI origins, including disconnecting peripherals and using a portable AM/SW receiver with a ferrite rod antenna to localize strong interference sources. The document categorizes RFI mitigation into shielding, filtering, and design problems, offering practical solutions for each. It recommends applying conductive sprays like _EMI-LAC_ or _EMV-LACK_ to plastic casings of radios, monitors, and CPUs to create effective Faraday cages, emphasizing proper grounding and avoiding short circuits. For filtering, the guide suggests using line filters, ferrite beads, and toroids on power and data lines, and small value capacitors (e.g., 0.01 uF for serial/parallel, 100 pF for video) to shunt RFI to ground. It also discusses the use of bandpass, high-pass, low-pass, and notch filters on the receiver front-end or antenna feed to combat specific in-band noise.

An FT-817 ceased transmission on the VHF 2m band, despite the other HF, UHF, and 50 MHz bands operating correctly. Suspecting an excess of input signal during FT-8 mode transmission, they conducted measurements with an oscilloscope, revealing a burnt-out PIN diode, identified as D3003, type HSU277, on the PA unit board. Following the replacement of this surface-mounted diode, their FT-817 resumed operation on the 144 MHz band.
