Compiling an extensive collection of technical information, the Repeater Builder's website serves as a critical resource for those involved in amateur and commercial repeater systems. It covers a broad spectrum of topics essential for the design, construction, and ongoing maintenance of these vital communication hubs, drawing from years of practical experience in the field. The site provides detailed insights into various aspects of repeater technology, including specific information on VHF and UHF bands, such as 2-meter systems. Users can find data related to repeater logic, control systems, and interfacing with other radio infrastructure, all presented with a focus on practical application. Authored by Kevin Custer, W3KKC, the content reflects a deep understanding of repeater operations and engineering, offering guidance that extends beyond basic setup to advanced troubleshooting and optimization.

Twenty-four repeaters, including D-STAR and Fusion systems, are maintained and operated by MARCA Inc., primarily located on Arizona mountaintops and around the Phoenix metropolitan area. The organization, holding the callsign _W7MOT_, facilitates a wide range of amateur radio activities, such as ARRL Field Day events near Forest Lakes, Arizona, and participation in ARRL FMT contests. Members engage in antenna experimentation, construction, and maintenance trips to repeater sites. The club's interests span diverse topics, including HF voice, digital modes like _WSPR_, _WSJT-X_ (FT8, FT4), and CW, alongside DXing, MESH networking, and EOC operations. It supports technologies from SDR radio building to antique radio restoration and computer-based operations like Echolink, fostering a Single Board Computer (SBC) and Raspberry Pi group. Monthly meetings, held on the third Tuesday, feature business discussions and guest presentations, with informal summer gatherings and an annual holiday dinner in December. Monthly VE testing sessions for Technician, General, and Extra Class licenses are conducted by Ray Vasquez, K4RMV. Post-meeting discussions often cover specialized interests such as repeater operations, technical topics, D-STAR, SDR, APRS, Fusion, and Raspberry Pi projects.

The VU2BBB repeater, located in Matheran, Maharashtra, commenced operations in the late 1980s, a significant undertaking by the Bombay Repeater Society. This repeater facilitates VHF and UHF communications for local amateur radio operators, providing extended range and improved signal reliability across challenging terrain. Its establishment marked a key development in regional amateur radio infrastructure, offering a crucial node for local nets and general QSO traffic. The repeater's operational parameters include specific input and output frequencies within the 2-meter band, typically utilizing a standard offset. CTCSS tones are often employed to mitigate interference and ensure selective access for authorized users, a common practice for repeaters in densely populated areas. Regular maintenance and upgrades ensure _VU2BBB_ remains a reliable asset for the amateur community, supporting emergency communications and daily amateur radio activities. The _Bombay Repeater Society_ continues to oversee its operation, reflecting a sustained commitment to local ham radio services.

K6BJ-2m Repeater Maintenance and Repair Log

The W6JWS 2-meter Repeater Maintenance and Repair Log documents the ongoing upkeep of a 146.745 MHz repeater, specifically addressing modifications to enhance its functionality. It details changes made to ensure the repeater powers up in _PL mode_ and to improve the reliability of touch-tone control, drawing comparisons to similar work performed on the AE6KE repeater. The log also notes a repair to a fused wire in the reverse battery protection circuit after an accidental polarity reversal, highlighting a temporary workaround where a wire was omitted but the system remained operational. The resource includes practical insights from Jeff Liebermann, AE6KS, regarding jumper configurations and programming, with accompanying photos. It provides access to several documents for the Icom RP-1510 repeater, including operating manuals and a schematic for the single logic board version, which differs from the dual-board configuration described in some printed manuals. The log mentions a specific modification to adjust the dropout delay, which was later deemed unnecessary, and references a related project for the AE6KE repeater, aiming to replicate successful modifications on the W6JWS machine, resulting in improved touch-tone reliability and proper PL mode activation.

Outlines the Club de Radio Amateur de Charlevoix (VE2CCR), a regional amateur radio organization serving the Charlevoix area in Quebec, Canada. The resource details the club's objectives, which include promoting amateur radio, fostering technical knowledge among members, and supporting emergency communications. It lists various club activities such as regular meetings, field day participation, and local repeater maintenance. The site provides contact information for prospective members and details on how to join the club, including membership fees and application procedures. Information on the club's repeaters, including frequencies and access tones, is also presented, facilitating local amateur radio operations. The resource serves as a central hub for VE2CCR members and interested individuals seeking to engage with the amateur radio community in Charlevoix.

Presents a web software defined radio service hosted by the ARDAM amateur radio club in Ordino, Andorra, situated at an altitude of 1,400 meters in the Pyrenees. The system incorporates four FunCubeDonglePro+ receivers, providing access to the 60m, 40m, 20m, and 80m amateur bands. These receivers are connected to a dipole antenna oriented East/West, enabling users to monitor signals, check their own transmissions, or simply enjoy general ham radio listening from this unique QTH. The interface provides a waterfall display, frequency tuning, and signal strength plotting, with options for both Java and HTML5 WebAudio, though Java is noted as a requirement for full functionality on some browsers. The resource details the operational aspects, crediting PA3FWM for the underlying software and C31CT and EA3KZ for system operation and maintenance, ensuring 24/7 availability. It also includes a significant section outlining the ARDAM association's ongoing disputes with the URA (Unió de Radioaficionats Andorrans) regarding amateur radio regulations, CEPT licensing for foreign visitors, and the installation of a VHF-DMR repeater, highlighting the challenges faced by ARDAM in promoting amateur radio in Andorra.
