CQ Worldwide VHF SSB/CW Contest

The CQ Worldwide VHF Contest is a fantastic opportunity to get on the air and explore the higher frequencies. We aim to make as many contacts as possible with stations around the world, maximizing our reach across different geographic sections and grid locators. Participants spend a full 24 hours making contacts and exchanging basic signal reports and location information. This contest specifically focuses on 6m and 2m, utilizing CW, SSB, and FM modes. It kicks off on Saturday afternoon UTC and runs until the same time on Sunday, always taking place on the first weekend of July for the SSB/CW/FM portion. For newcomers, we recommend focusing on making consistent contacts and getting comfortable with the exchange before diving too deep into complex strategies.
