The *SPACE* Amateur Radio over Internet Protocol (RoIP) system offers public audio transmissions from NASA Mission Control and astronauts, primarily for educational purposes. This service streams NASA public media sources, including *Artemis II* and the ISS public audio channel 2 feed, which predominantly features English communications. Astronaut activities on the ISS typically occur between 0700 UTC and 19:00 UTC, with transmissions most common during early mornings USA time, alongside special events such as launches or spacewalks. Users can connect to the live stream via EchoLink to the *SPACE* conference, via IRLP to the 0100 experimental reflector, or via Allstar to node 516221. EchoLink connections utilize the GSM CODEC, while IRLP and other connections default to uncompressed or u-law CODEC. The service notes that long periods of silence are common, and NASA audio sources can be periodically unavailable or noisy. Daily recordings of these transmissions are published at space.rfnet.link/recordings/, available as .ogg audio files for direct playback or .m3u8 playlist files for network streaming in applications like VLC. Each playlist file provides a list of timestamped audio transmissions, allowing users to review specific segments of interest.

The 8m ISM band, a unique frequency range between 10m and 6m, holds potential for amateur radio enthusiasts, yet it remains largely unallocated. This spectrum offers fertile ground for research and self-training. The author's experience with low-power transmissions and WSPR testing highlights the band's capabilities and the need for a narrow, speech-free amateur allocation to encourage experimentation. Discover the world of 8m ISM radio exploration and its future possibilities.

This presentation offers a beginner's guide to digital communication modes in Ham Radio, specifically PSK31 and RTTY. It covers the basics like what data modes are and the equipment needed (radio, computer, interface). It explains the technical details like PSK vs. RTTY, AFSK vs. FSK, and data transmission processes. The presentation also provides instructions on software setup, live testing procedures, and where to find data transmissions on different bands. Finally, it covers communication styles and etiquette for data QSOs.

This PDF file provides detailed information on HF propagation for ham radio operators. It covers the principles of how radio signals travel over long distances, including factors that affect signal strength and propagation. The content is useful for hams looking to improve their understanding of radio communication and optimize their transmissions. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced operator, this resource offers valuable insights into HF propagation that can enhance your communication skills and efficiency on the airwaves.

Protect your radio tower and solar charged battery power supply by sending the correct Morse code transmissions. Tap out alphanumeric characters in Morse code to prevent your radio station from being destroyed by the Morse code meteor attack! Meteors may be destroyed in any order. All levels start with a fully charged battery. Each DIT uses 1% battery power. Each DAH uses 3% battery power. Your battery charges at a nominal rate of 1% every 5 seconds, and total charge increases by 1% for every correct Morse code transmission. In addition, you have two solar panels that each contribute 1% to the battery charge rate. If your solar panels are destroyed, there are no replacements for that game. When your battery runs low, an SOS prosign bonus appears. Destroy this entity to recharge your battery.

Provides a real-time intelligence layer for **WSJT-X** and **JTDX** operators, enhancing weak-signal digital mode operations. It enables remote monitoring of decodes and transmit control for FT8 and FT4 from any browser or device, eliminating the need for port forwarding or VPNs. The platform integrates with PSKReporter data to compare a station's signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) against nearby operators receiving the same signal, offering immediate feedback on propagation and station performance. Operators can track DXCC entities, grid squares, CQ/ITU zones, and WAC status in real-time through an integrated logbook. A live global band-activity map visualizes who is decoding a station's transmissions, providing tactical intelligence updated every 15 seconds. The system also includes social features like community chat, allowing operators to share station metrics and engage with others. The Companion app, a small bridge application, runs on the shack PC, facilitating seamless remote access and control. This setup transforms the weak-signal operating experience by providing actionable data and real-time insights into propagation openings and station effectiveness.

Tracing the foundational work of Guglielmo Marconi, this article details his early laboratory experiments in 1895, where he successfully transmitted wireless signals over 1.5 miles. It highlights his 1896 patent for a wireless telegraphy system in England and subsequent demonstrations, including signal transmissions up to 6.4 km (4 miles) on Salisbury Plain and nearly 14.5 km (9 miles) across the Bristol Channel. Marconi's work built upon the mathematical theories of _James Clerk Maxwell_ and the experimental results of _Heinrich Hertz_, proving the practical feasibility of radio communication. The resource further chronicles the formation of The Wireless Telegraph & Signal Company Limited in 1897 and Marconi's relentless efforts to popularize radiotelegraphy. A significant milestone was the 1901 transatlantic reception of the Morse code letter "S" from Poldhu, Cornwall, at St. John's, Newfoundland, using a kite-supported wire antenna, defying contemporary mathematical predictions about Earth's curvature limiting range. This achievement underscored the global potential of radio. The article also touches upon Marconi's later discoveries, such as the "daytime effect" concerning atmospheric reflection of radio waves, and his 1902 patent for a magnetic detector, which became a standard wireless receiver. His contributions earned him a Nobel Prize in 1909.

Demonstrates the operational status and reach of the LoRa APRS infrastructure, providing a live mapping and logging service for network participants. Users can verify network coverage, monitor _iGates_, and track mobile stations, observing messages and real-time network activity. The platform offers insights into station locations and data flow within the LoRa APRS system, which is crucial for understanding the performance of LoRa technology in Automatic Packet Reporting System applications. This utility helps amateur radio operators understand where transmissions are being received and processed by iGates, and how mobile units are moving within the network. The site's analysis tools provide RF performance monitoring and metrics, enabling users to assess network efficiency and identify areas for improvement. For example, operators can see how many packets are received by specific iGates, or track the path of a mobile station over a **100 km** range, offering practical insights into signal propagation and network reliability for _packet radio_ enthusiasts.
