MultiKeyer is a dedicated computer keying program designed for amateur radio operators engaging in specialized operating activities such as Earth-Moon-Earth (EME) and Meteor Scatter, as well as general contest operations. It provides distinct modes for both CW and Phone transmissions, enabling automated message sequencing and playback of pre-recorded audio files. The software's interface shares a similar "look and feel" to the popular WSJT Meteor Scatter/EME program, facilitating ease of use for operators familiar with that platform. For CW operations, MultiKeyer offers an EME Auto mode for sending timed messages crucial for EME and Meteor Scatter, alongside a Contest mode that handles automatic CQ calls and preprogrammed messages. On the Phone side, it features a Sequenced Phone mode for transmitting prerecorded .wav files during Meteor Scatter events and an Auto Phone mode for contest use. The program leverages serial COM ports for CW and PTT signaling, and the soundcard for .wav file playback, with configurable PTT interrupt options. MultiKeyer integrates with TRX-Manager for PTT and CW keying, and can send callsigns for logging. It also supports WSJT-style "callsign.txt" files for lookups and adheres to the SO2R protocol for parallel port connections. Designed for Windows 98 and NT, it generally functions on Windows 95, ME, XP, and 2000, requiring a 133 MHz Pentium-class processor.

Linux-based amateur radio logging software, _CQRLOG_, integrates a Firebird database for robust data management and offers radio control via _Hamlib_ libraries. It provides essential features for DXers and contesters, including DX cluster connectivity, _QRZ_ callbook lookup, a grayline map, and support for the ON6DP QSL manager database. The application incorporates a country resolution algorithm, developed by OK1RR, which is noted for its accuracy in identifying DX entities. The software's design prioritizes operational ease and maintenance, making it suitable for active logging. Its country resolution algorithm, based on meticulously maintained country tables, aims to minimize errors in DXCC credit. The integration of _Hamlib_ ensures compatibility with a wide array of transceivers, simplifying rig control for various operating modes and contest scenarios.

QRZCQ.com provides a centralized online platform for amateur radio operators, integrating a global callsign database with DX Cluster functionality. The service features real-time DX spotting, filtering capabilities for specific bands (e.g., 160m, 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m, 10m), and specialized filters for awards like IOTA, SOTA, WWFF, and QRP activity. It also includes a logbook, QSL manager lookup, contest calendar, and various ham radio articles and news feeds, supporting a wide range of operating activities and information retrieval. The platform aggregates data from multiple sources, offering a dynamic view of on-air activity and callsign information. Users can register for free to access additional services, including a personal logbook, buddy lists, and chat features, fostering community interaction among over 198,600 registered users. The DX Cluster displays recent spots with frequency, DX call, spotter, and remarks, covering bands from VLF to VHF. Beyond DX spotting, the site provides resources such as repeater directories, propagation information, and a swapmeet, making it a multi-faceted tool for both casual browsing and serious DXing or contesting. The service also highlights active users, latest news, articles, and videos, keeping the content fresh and relevant.

Over two decades of historical DX spots and news are archived on this Japanese resource, providing a retrospective look at amateur radio propagation and activity across various bands. The content is organized chronologically, with separate sections for _50MHz_, _HF DX_, _144MHz_, _EME_, and Satellite clusters, detailing spot data from as early as 1996 through 2014. This extensive archive serves as a valuable historical record for analyzing long-term propagation trends and significant DXpeditions from a Japanese perspective, offering insights into band openings and rare entity activations. The resource also includes links to other DX news sites like _425 DX News_ and _Ohio/Penn DX Bulletin_, along with QSL manager lookups and callbook services, enhancing its utility as a comprehensive DX information hub. While the primary cluster data is historical, the compilation of external links points to active resources for current DX operations. This makes it a useful reference for contesters and DXers researching past conditions or seeking information on specific DX entities and their QSL routes.

Operating a modern amateur radio station often involves integrating various software tools, and LogHX aims to provide a unified environment for Windows users. The software facilitates comprehensive QSO accounting, allowing operators to track contacts and manage both e-QSL and traditional paper QSL exchanges, including via QSL managers or direct methods. It also offers real-time QSO preview and integrates with popular callbook data for quick lookups. LogHX supports various logbook database searches and maintains statistics for numerous awards, a critical feature for serious DXers and contesters. The program handles logbook import and export in widely used formats such as _ADIF_ and _Cabrillo_, ensuring compatibility with other logging applications. Furthermore, it interoperates with Telnet clusters and third-party ham radio software, enhancing its utility in a networked shack environment. Key functionalities include antenna rotator control, editable macros for PSK, RTTY, CW, and SSB operations, and CAT control via _OmniRig_ or direct interfaces. Embedded modules like MMVari, MMTTY, and CWServer streamline digital mode operations, while its multi-window structure allows users to customize their screen layout, preserving valuable monitor space.
