MARCA, Inc. operates approximately 24 repeaters across Arizona mountaintops and Phoenix-area rooftops, supporting modes like D-STAR and Fusion. The club, holding the **W7MOT** callsign, engages in diverse activities including ARRL Field Day events near Forest Lakes, AZ, ARRL FMT contests, and antenna experimentation. Members actively participate in HF operations such as voice, digital, CW, DXing, and various digital HF modes, alongside MESH and EOC operations within the valley. The club's interests span a broad technical spectrum, from SDR radio building to antique radio restoration, and include modern digital modes like WSPR, WSJT, FT8, and FT4. They also explore computer-based operations such as Echolink, fostering a dedicated Single Board Computer (SBC) and Raspberry Pi group. Monthly VE testing sessions for Technician, General, and Extra Class licenses are conducted by Ray Vasquez, K4RMV. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month, typically lasting two hours, with a business segment followed by a technical presentation. These gatherings occur in-person at IHop in Mesa, AZ, and concurrently via Zoom, accommodating both local members and winter visitors. Informal chat groups often form post-meeting to discuss specialized topics like D-STAR, SDR, APRS, MESH, and Fusion.

The *SPACE* Amateur Radio over Internet Protocol (RoIP) system offers public audio transmissions from NASA Mission Control and astronauts, primarily for educational purposes. This service streams NASA public media sources, including *Artemis II* and the ISS public audio channel 2 feed, which predominantly features English communications. Astronaut activities on the ISS typically occur between 0700 UTC and 19:00 UTC, with transmissions most common during early mornings USA time, alongside special events such as launches or spacewalks. Users can connect to the live stream via EchoLink to the *SPACE* conference, via IRLP to the 0100 experimental reflector, or via Allstar to node 516221. EchoLink connections utilize the GSM CODEC, while IRLP and other connections default to uncompressed or u-law CODEC. The service notes that long periods of silence are common, and NASA audio sources can be periodically unavailable or noisy. Daily recordings of these transmissions are published at space.rfnet.link/recordings/, available as .ogg audio files for direct playback or .m3u8 playlist files for network streaming in applications like VLC. Each playlist file provides a list of timestamped audio transmissions, allowing users to review specific segments of interest.

SvxLink is an advanced software suite for the ham radio community, initially launched in 2003 as an EchoLink application for Linux. Now a comprehensive voice services system, the SvxLink Server functions as an advanced repeater controller and can operate on simplex and duplex channels. It acts as an intermediary between transceiver hardware and applications, offering essential system services. The modular architecture of SvxLink supports customization, with modules in C++ or TCL. Key modules include a help system, parrot mode, EchoLink connectivity, DTMF repeater, voice mail, propagation warnings, and selective calling sequences. SvxLink's development and source code are available on GitHub, promoting open-source collaboration in the ham radio community.

Connecting to the global *EchoLink* network via a web browser simplifies internet linking for licensed amateur radio operators. This web application provides a direct interface, eliminating the need for client software installation. Users can log in with their validated callsign and password to access the system, facilitating contacts with other stations, repeaters, and conferences worldwide, much like traditional VoIP applications but tailored for amateur radio. The interface offers essential controls for managing connections, including selecting specific stations or conferences from a dropdown list, initiating a connection, and disconnecting. Features such as a 'Call CQ' button allow users to signal their availability for a contact, while options for low bandwidth operation and accepting incoming connections optimize performance and accessibility. Audio device selection ensures proper microphone and speaker integration with the web client. Validation of an amateur radio license is a prerequisite for full access, ensuring that only authorized operators utilize the network. The system prompts unvalidated users to provide an email address and password to begin the validation process, which typically involves submitting proof of license. This free service extends the reach of amateur radio communications globally, bridging geographical distances through internet connectivity.

Over 200 distinct 2-meter band amateur radio repeaters are cataloged for Australia, providing essential operational data for VHF communication. Each entry specifies the repeater's output frequency, often including the input tone (e.g., **91.5 Hz** or **123.0 Hz** CTCSS) and the repeater's callsign (e.g., _VK2RSC_, _VK3RHF_). Locations are precisely noted, frequently referencing specific towns, mountains, or geographical features such as "Kinglake, Kangaroo Ground" or "Adaminaby, Mars Hill." The resource also indicates various digital modes and linking capabilities where applicable, such as "FMEchoLinkFusionWIRES-X" or "DMR," alongside standard FM operation. This detailed listing facilitates local and regional VHF communication, enabling hams to program their transceivers accurately for repeater access. The data is presented in a clear, tabular format, making it straightforward to identify repeaters by frequency and location.

For amateur radio operators seeking to engage in digital voice communications, DVNets provides a centralized, community-verified directory of active nets. It organizes net schedules by **digital mode**, day, region, and access details, covering systems such as DMR, BrandMeister, D-STAR, System Fusion (YSF/C4FM), AllStar, EchoLink, M17, P25, NXDN, Wires-X, IRLP, and FreeDV. The platform offers specific connection information including talkgroups, reflectors, and rooms to facilitate participation in these digital voice activities. DVNets currently lists 374 active nets across 10 digital modes and 11 countries, with 70 community verifications ensuring accuracy. Users can browse nets by specific digital voice mode, view a weekly schedule, or explore listings by region, including the United States (142 nets), Canada (38 nets), and the United Kingdom (27 nets). The directory also features a "Happening soon" section, displaying nets active or starting shortly in the user's local timezone.
