Aurora: FT8, FT4, JT65 & JT9 Digital Mode Software
Description
Aurora is a free and open-source digital mode software (GPL-3.0) for amateur radio, supporting FT8, FT4, JT65, and JT9. It features its own decoding and transmission engine, eliminating the need for external programs. The software includes a live WebGPU/WebGL2 waterfall with draggable Rx and Tx bars, automatic DXCC card tracking, and integrated Fox and UltraFOX modes for DXpeditions, managing hound queues and logging QSOs automatically. Aurora offers CAT control for over 300 radios via Hamlib and OmniRig, providing frequency, mode, split, PTT, and radio display with meters and SWR. It supports dual-screen setups, allowing panels, the DX map, or the radio display to be moved to a second monitor. Remote control via phone is also available. The application is compatible with Windows 10/11 (64-bit) and Linux (AppImage and .deb) and is available in 6 languages.
