Optimizing a QRZ.com page involves adding essential callsign data, ensuring correct _Maidenhead Gridsquare_ and DXCC information in the Detail tab, and populating the Biography section with relevant station details. Operators should include their operating conditions, specific country references like WAB square, club affiliations, and detailed QSL information, specifying preferences for electronic confirmations (e.g., _LoTW_, Clublog) and paper QSLs (direct, bureau, SASE). The guide emphasizes the importance of accurate data for electronic logging software integration, which fetches Gridsquare, DXCC, and CQ/ITU zones to populate contact logs correctly. Further enhancements include leveraging the QRZ.com photo gallery for images and setting a primary image that logging software like _Log4OM_ can display. Advanced customization involves embedding external services via HTML source code. Examples include integrating HamAlert for DX Cluster spots, Clublog for log searches and Online QSL Requesting (OQRS), and Parks on the Air (POTA) statistics widgets from WD4DAN. Additionally, live weather information from Weather&Radar and solar data banners from HamQSL can be embedded, providing real-time environmental context for visitors to the QRZ page. These embedded tools require creating accounts on respective platforms and often involve copying specific source code snippets into the QRZ biography's HTML editor, ensuring callsign placeholders are updated.

HAMRS v2.52.0 provides a portable logging solution for amateur radio operators, supporting macOS, Windows, Ubuntu, Raspbian, iOS, and Android platforms. The software includes offline databases for POTA parks and US callsigns, facilitating logging without internet connectivity. It features ADIF import/export capabilities, enabling one-click uploads to QRZ.com. Rig control is supported through native _Hamlib_ and _FLRIG_ integration, alongside compatibility with _WSJT-X_ for digital modes. Recent updates in v2.50 introduced a QSO Map for visualizing contacts with band colors and filtering, real-time solar and HF/VHF propagation conditions, and a dedicated logging template for ARRL Field Day exchanges. An interactive US Band Plan displays privileges and sub-bands, while a live POTA Spots Map highlights the active park and offers license-aware spot filtering.

Operating Slow Scan Television (SSTV) often requires specialized software to encode and decode images for transmission over amateur radio frequencies. The _MMSSTV_YONIQ_ project provides an updated iteration of the widely used _MMSSTV_ software, originally developed by JE3HHT, incorporating modern functionalities requested by the SSTV community. This version integrates the _Omni-Rig_ system for seamless transceiver control, supports both Spanish and English interfaces, and enables direct data downloads from QRZ.com, streamlining logging and contact management for operators. The software also includes practical enhancements such as frequency memory storage, compatibility with various digital logbooks, and a visual indicator for image transmission and reception progress. Significant improvements have been made to image reception settings, allowing for more effective decoding even on systems with limited PC resources, though it can be configured for higher performance on modern machines. The development involved new code and modifications to existing source code, released under a GNU license. Installation instructions are provided, noting that the initial setup defaults to Spanish but can be easily switched to English. The project emphasizes its role as a continuation of JE3HHT's original work, aiming to keep SSTV operations current with 21st-century amateur radio practices. Support for new features is available through the MMSSTV forum on Groups.io.

Twigger is a very lightweight, free ham radio logger designed for Windows, offering seamless integration with transceivers via _TCI_ or OmniRig. This software stores all logged contacts in a SQLite database, with the flexibility to export daily ADIF files for import into a main logger or to send real-time QSO data via UDP in N1MM XML format. It also supports direct, real-time uploads to popular online logbooks like Clublog and QRZ.com, streamlining the logging process for active operators. The application has seen continuous development, with version 1.1.34 fixing an ADIF log importer bug and earlier versions adding crucial features like WSJT-X/JTDX UDP support. Author OE3IDE, Ernst, has incorporated user feedback, including ideas and testing from MW0LGE, to refine the software. Key enhancements include the transition to SQLite for data storage in version 1.1.32, allowing for easy import of previous Twigger ADIFs upon initial startup. The logger also features integrated DX cluster support, enabling users to send spots directly and query QRZ.com for callsign information, which is then cached to reduce redundant queries. The software's compact design and essential logging capabilities make it a practical tool for casual logging or as a secondary logger during contests, with the ability to handle **25 downloads** for version 1.1.34.

OpsLog is a modern amateur radio logbook application for Windows, designed to consolidate station operations into a single, integrated interface. It provides fast, single-strip QSO entry with automatic lookup from QRZ.com or HamQTH, populating callsign, name, QTH, and grid square. The software offers real-time CAT control supporting OmniRig, native FlexRadio/SmartSDR, Icom CI-V (via USB or internet), and TCI protocols. Key logging features include ADIF 3.1.7 compliance, offline DXCC resolution, a worked-before matrix, and dupe detection. This blog chronicles over a decade of portable HF contesting from rural Ireland (2008–2019) by Olivier, operating under callsigns EI/ON4EI, EI8GQB, EI1A, and EI7T. Using only green energy from a caravan, he achieved top-tier results in major international contests—including 1st World in the 2018 IARU HF Championship (SSB LP) and multiple 1st-place finishes in CQ WW and CQ WPX SSB Europe. Operating in the demanding Single Operator All Band Low Power and SO2R categories, he deployed up to five antennas across five bands, often in remote or emergency-style conditions. The narrative blends technical detail, fieldcraft, and personal reflection, documenting triumphs, setbacks (including carbon monoxide poisoning), and the logistical challenges of sustainable portable operation—culminating in his decision to transition to team-based contesting and future DXpeditions.

QRZ Label is a Windows application designed for amateur radio operators to generate QSL labels using _Zebra (ZPL)_ label printers. It interfaces directly with QRZ.com to retrieve callsign and address details, and can import QSO log data from the QRZ Logbook. The software then formats this information into various label types, including standard address labels, envelope labels, greeting labels, and multi-QSO confirmation cards, all featuring an on-screen tabbed preview. Spothole aggregates real-time amateur radio spots from various sources, including traditional **DX clusters** and specialized outdoor activity programs like POTA and SOTA. The platform provides a highly customizable web interface where users can configure display options such as DX and DE continents, local time, and a 'ping' notification for new spots. Users can also adjust the number of spots displayed and select from several UI color schemes, including PSK Reporter and Ham Rainbow. The tool integrates with external callbook services like QRZ.com and HamQTH, allowing users to remember login credentials for seamless data reloading. A distinctive feature is the ability to input a personal grid square and manage lists of 'worked' and 'wanted' callsigns. Wanted callsigns, entered as space- or comma-separated lists, receive a gold highlight when a matching DX callsign appears in the spot feed, aiding in targeted DXing efforts. Beyond the interactive web interface, Spothole offers a universal JSON **API**, enabling developers to build custom applications leveraging its aggregated spotting data.
