The project details a DIY SWR/Wattmeter designed around an _Arduino Uno_ shield, providing capabilities to measure RF power from 2 to **200 watts** and Standing Wave Ratio (SWR) for HF amateur radio bands. This construction features a compact design, integrating the measurement circuitry directly onto a custom PCB that interfaces with the Arduino Uno microcontroller. Key components include a directional coupler for sensing forward and reflected power, precision rectifiers, and analog-to-digital conversion for processing RF signals. The Arduino firmware handles calibration, calculations, and displays the results on an integrated LCD, offering real-time feedback on antenna system performance. The design prioritizes simplicity for homebrewers. Performance specifications indicate accurate readings within the **2-200W** power range, suitable for typical QRP to medium-power HF operations. The project provides schematics and a basic overview of the software logic.

Presents _DirLog_, a freeware logging application specifically developed for the 11-meter CB band, catering exclusively to members of the _Alfa Tango Group_. The software facilitates the recording and management of contacts, providing a dedicated tool for CB operators to maintain their station logs. Its development spans from 1997 to 2025, indicating a long-term commitment to its maintenance and evolution by its author, 1AT069 Enio. This specialized logbook offers features tailored for CB operations, allowing users to track their contacts within the 27 MHz band. While primarily focused on CB logging, its structure and functionality could be compared to amateur radio logging software in terms of data entry and retrieval. The exclusivity to Alfa Tango members suggests a community-specific utility, fostering organized record-keeping among its users.

The Maik Uniform France website, established on March 27, 2000, serves as a central hub for French CB radio operators interested in DXing. It provides a platform for sharing DX news, logging contacts, and distributing relevant software tools. The resource caters to various CB DX groups, including Papa Alfa Tango, Wisconsin Michigan, Charly Tango, Oscar Sierra, Big Time Operators, WAC Club, Azteca DX, and TX&RX Group, fostering a community around long-distance CB communications. This online presence facilitates the exchange of operational information and resources among CB enthusiasts. While primarily in French, an English option is available. The site's content structure supports the practical application of CB DXing by centralizing information on recent DX activity and providing utilities, thereby assisting operators in improving their DXing capabilities and staying informed about the CB DX scene.

Approximately 24 minutes of recorded audio from Flame Christian Community Radio on 1521 kHz was logged on January 4, 2014, demonstrating the pursuit of distant broadcast stations. This resource focuses on the hobby of DXing, primarily targeting the Mediumwave (AM) band and the 2-6 MHz shortwave Tropical Bands, along with VHF FM. It details how factors like solar activity, time of day, and seasonal weather patterns significantly influence radio propagation, enabling reception of signals from hundreds or even thousands of miles away. The site includes a collection of DX logs, such as _Sporadic E_ reception of FM stations from Algeria, Spain, and Portugal in May 2020, and _Radio New Zealand_ on 15720 kHz. It also features comprehensive UK RDS listings, information on _MW Carrier Monitoring_ of European and trans-Atlantic AM carriers, and reviews of equipment like the _Sangean ATS909_ portable radio. Historical news entries document significant events like the closure of CBC's 50 kW CBA transmitter on 1070 kHz and RTE's 567 kHz MW channel.

Demonstrates the construction of an **ATU-100 (N7DDC)** automatic antenna tuner, detailing the assembly process from component arrival to final enclosure. The resource covers winding the tandem match transformer, connecting the OLED display, and integrating optional control buttons. Specific attention is given to modifying the EEPROM settings for **QRP operation**, reducing the minimum tuning power to 1 Watt, and addressing potential RF interference with CPU by adding capacitors to button connections. The build log includes practical tips such as adapting RG58 coaxial cable strands for PCB mounting and utilizing a repurposed Macbook Pro cover for the custom enclosure. The author references external GitHub pages for comprehensive information, R0AEK's resources for additional details, and a video by MW0SAW for EEPROM configuration across different ATU-100 variants. Future plans involve field testing the completed tuner during SOTA or other portable activations.

EA4EOZ details the construction and testing of 50 MHz traps, a critical component for multiband antenna designs. The project addresses the challenge of sourcing high-voltage capacitors suitable for trap applications, exploring alternatives to expensive doorknob capacitors. The author successfully fabricated a capacitor using 1.6mm double-sided FR-4 PCB material, achieving a capacitance density of **2.6 pF/cm2**. Utilizing the _VE6YP calculator_, specific L and C values of 30 pF and 0.31 uH were determined for a 2cm diameter coil. Both the FR-4 PCB trap and a coaxial cable trap, constructed from _RG-58_, were built and tuned to approximately 50 MHz using a spectrum analyzer. The coaxial cable trap demonstrated superior performance, exhibiting a notch nearly **20dB deeper** than the FR-4 version. This practical comparison provides insights into trap construction for experimental antennas, with the coaxial cable trap selected for an antenna project intended for operation at up to 100 watts.

Outlines the essential steps for successfully activating a **Summits on the Air (SOTA)** peak, providing a structured approach for amateur radio operators participating in this popular award program. It details crucial pre-activation planning, including navigating the SOTA website, setting up a SOTA Data account, and consulting the **Association Reference Manual (ARM)** for specific regional rules and peak information. The guide also covers using mapping resources like adventureradio.de and lists ofjohn.com to identify suitable summits and check access conditions. The document emphasizes safety during the activation, advising operators to monitor weather, carry rain gear, and plan ample time for the ascent and descent. It specifies the **4-QSO minimum** requirement within the Activation Zone and recommends calling "CQ SOTA" on traditional QRP or VHF calling frequencies. The guide also suggests using local 2m FM repeaters for safety communications and spotting, while clarifying that repeater QSOs do not count for SOTA points. Post-activation activities include submitting logs to sotadata.org.uk, uploading trip reports to share experiences with future activators, and promoting SOTA participation on various reflectors. The guide highlights the program's appeal through its awards system for both activators and chasers, encouraging new participants in North America.
