UI-View is an APRS client that runs on Windows. This application differs from most APRS software in that it isn't designed just to be used with TNCs in terminal mode. UI-View also supports TNCs in KISS mode, AGWPE host mode and BPQ host mode. The 32 bit version of UI-View also supports WA8DED/TF host mode, and the variant of it used in the SCS PTC-II and PTC-IIe.

Simple eprom programmer for 27Cxx family , used in TNC and G3ruh modem, eprom tutorial, schematics and KissEprom software for windows by iz7ath

KaWin is a legacy digital RF data communications program designed to harness the full potential of Kantronics Terminal Node Controllers (TNCs) via their proprietary Host Mode. Serving as a central hub for the digital shack, it gave operators running packet radio or DX clusters a native graphical interface to seamlessly manage RF traffic across up to four simultaneous TNCs. The primary limitation today is extreme software obsolescence. KaWin is a completely unsupported, discontinued product running exclusively on legacy operating systems, peaking at Windows 95. Modern shacks cannot run it natively; it strictly demands antiquated hardware like physical RS-232 serial ports with 16550 UARTs, dedicated IRQ assignments to prevent RX/TX buffer overruns, and specific legacy TNC firmware EPROMs. Despite being a relic, its benefits for the dedicated digital DXer were substantial. By fully exploiting Kantronics Host Mode rather than basic KISS configurations, it maximized on-the-air throughput and station efficiency. For retro-computing hams restoring vintage packet stations, KaWin still provides a robust environment that successfully bridged raw RF data routing with a highly functional, multitasking graphical user interface.

The purpose of the APRS-Beacon is to provide simple APRS-compatible position beacons for up to three Objects. It is designed to 'stand alone' and does not monitor other traffic on the frequency. It can use a single-port TNC (in 'native' mode), a single- or dual-port TNC in Kiss mode or the AGW Packet Engine in order to transmit on up to four radio ports.(When running with AGWPE, APRS-Beacon will also work with Windows 2000)

An Arduino project to make it work as a KISS TNC

The multiuser/multitasking BayCom Packet Terminal Driver program is a general purpose communications package for communicating with a BayCom modem attached to your IBM-PC/clone in conjunction with the TFPCX Baycom driver software. The software will also work with a normal TNC if it supports KISS mode, such as the Kantronics range.

The KISS TNC provides direct computer to TNC communication using a simple protocol. KISS is a simple Host-to-TNC communications protocol

The TARPN NinoTNC is a USB 1200/2400/4800/9600 baud KISS-TNC project

Enables digital radio transceivers to function as versatile data communication nodes, supporting applications like _Reticulum_ networking, messaging with Sideband, and acting as a LoRa-based KISS-compatible amateur radio TNC. This firmware transforms off-the-shelf development boards into powerful, long-range data radios, facilitating robust communication over significant distances, potentially achieving **hundreds of kilometers** with optimal setups. It supports a range of hardware, including unsigned.io's Handheld RNodes (v2.x and v1.x), LilyGO T-Beam v1.1, LilyGO LoRa32 (v2.0, v2.1), and Heltec LoRa32 v2 devices. Compatibility extends to transceiver modules utilizing Semtech SX1276, SX1278, SX1262, SX1268, and SX1280 chips, provided they have an SPI interface and exposed interrupt pins. Installation is streamlined via the `rnodeconf` utility, part of the `rns` package, simplifying the flashing process for users. The project operates under the GNU General Public License v3.0, promoting open development and user freedom. It encourages community involvement in building and deploying RNodes for various purposes, from personal communication to establishing resilient, decentralized networks. The firmware's design emphasizes flexibility, allowing for diverse configurations to suit specific operational requirements.

Operating on the Automatic Packet Reporting System (APRS) network, this platform provides a real-time, visual representation of amateur radio stations globally. Users can track callsigns, locate nearby stations, and even send APRS messages directly from a web browser, all without requiring a login. The system integrates live APRS-IS data, presenting it in an intuitive, map-based interface that supports 11 different languages, making it accessible to a broad international audience. Beyond basic station tracking, the platform offers detailed per-station pages, including historical weather data and telemetry logs. This functionality extends to companion Android and iOS applications, which incorporate an RF / KISS-TNC mode, allowing mobile devices to interface directly with APRS via radio. My own field experience with similar APRS visualization tools confirms the utility of such a resource for situational awareness during events or simply monitoring local and regional ham radio activity. The inclusion of weather and telemetry history adds significant value for those interested in environmental data or remote station performance.

The resource details the use of LoRa for AX.25 packet radio and APRS, focusing on practical implementation. It specifies UK LoRa APRS frequency and modulation settings: **439.9125 MHz**, 125kHz bandwidth, SF12, and CR 4/5. The content provides a mini how-to for setting up an iGate using VS Code and _Platformio IDE_, with specific instructions for a Lilygo LoRa32 V2.1_1.6 board, including configuration for Wi-Fi, beaconing, and APRS-IS passcode. It also covers tracker setup using a Lilygo T-Beam Supreme, detailing firmware flashing and configuration for mobile operation. The guide differentiates LoRa APRS from traditional connected-mode packet radio, explaining why common LoRa APRS firmware is unsuitable for full AX.25 packet due to its TNC2-style payload structure. It explores alternative solutions for true LoRa packet radio, such as using an _RNode_ TNC or Raspberry Pi LoRa TNCs, and provides commands for RNode firmware installation and configuration for serial KISS operation. The resource also touches upon licensing requirements for unattended Digipeaters in the UK, noting the need for ETCC coordination and MB7Uxx callsigns.
