DX-Summit, is one of the very first **DX Clusters** on the internet, operated by the OH9W OH2AQ Radio Club, offering today a full featured web-based DX cluster, with real-time and even historical DX spots across basically the whole spectrum of amateur radio bands. This web application aggregates **DX spots**, enabling hams to monitor DX activity on frequencies from 1.8 MHz through 47 GHz, including specialized categories like beacons, digital modes, IOTA, QRP, and satellite operations. As all DX Clusters, it is as a critical tool for DXers and contesters seeking current propagation conditions and DX stations activity. The web application utility extends to providing daily DX news (even if not up to date) and a spot search function, allowing hams to research previous activity of a specific call signs on several bands. Features integration with direct link to **VOACAP** predictions, QRZ.com and ClubLog. Access to the service during contest events, expecially the most popular ones, may make the sevice overloaded. The inclusion of a full featured tutorial enhances its value. DX Summit's long-standing operation, maintained by **OH8X**, underscores its reliability as a go-to resource for seeking amateur radio spots and identifying rare DX or unidentified signals.

QRZ.com provides a comprehensive online **callbook** service, enabling amateur radio operators to look up detailed information for over 2 million licensed stations worldwide. Each entry typically includes the licensee's name, address, QSL route, and often a personal biography with station details, antenna configurations, and operating interests. The platform integrates various features such as a **Logbook of the World (LoTW)** interface, allowing users to confirm QSOs directly, and a robust search engine for rapid call sign resolution. The resource also features dynamic content, including real-time solar-terrestrial data from N0NBH, an active online swapmeet for buying and selling amateur radio gear, and a news section with articles covering current events, contest results, and special event station announcements. Recent news items highlight topics like the 'Five Two Simplex Challenge' and the '9th HamSCI Workshop,' indicating a focus on active operating and scientific engagement within the amateur community. Furthermore, QRZ.com supports various amateur radio awards, such as the new 'USA250 Award,' encouraging participation in specific operating programs.

The UK amateur radio licensing scheme features three distinct tiers: Foundation, Intermediate, and Full, each granting specific operating privileges. For instance, the **Foundation Licence** permits a maximum of 10 watts output power on most allocated bands, with restricted band access. The Intermediate Licence allows up to 50 watts, while the **Full Licence** grants access to the maximum UK legal power limits and all available amateur radio band allocations. UK call sign prefixes and formats provide insights into the licensee's class and the approximate issuance date. For example, M3, M6, and M7 prefixes with three letters denote Foundation Licences issued from 2002, 2008, and 2018 respectively. Intermediate Licences, often starting with "2E0" or "2E1" followed by three letters, were issued from 1991 onwards. Full Licences encompass a broader range of prefixes like G2, G3, G4, G0, and M0, with varying letter counts indicating different historical license classes and issuance periods, such as G3 plus three letters issued between 1946 and 1971. Special prefixes like GB are reserved for repeaters, beacons, data mailboxes, and special event stations, with specific numerical sequences (e.g., GB3 for repeaters, GB7 for data repeaters/mailboxes) indicating their function. Optional prefixes such as GC, GD, GI, GM, and GW denote specific UK countries (e.g., Wales, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Scotland, England) and can also signify club stations.

Demonstrates the _SQUIRL Field Day Logger_, a specialized software tool designed for efficient contact logging during the annual ARRL Field Day event. The resource details its core functionality, which includes real-time logging to easily readable text files, with filenames structured by callsign, band, and mode (e.g., K8DAA-20M-SSB.txt). It highlights features such as a real-time history grid of previous contacts, a dynamic USA and Canada map displaying contact locations, and a duplicate checker that provides audio notifications and pre-fills class/section data for previously worked stations. The software also includes an ADIF export function, enabling users to transfer logs to other general-purpose logging programs. The software's design emphasizes simplicity and ease of use, allowing for rapid on-the-spot training, as noted by users like W4CMB. It supports various operating systems, including Windows 98 through 8, and has been successfully run on Linux via _Wine_. Key usability enhancements include a "double-size" feature for improved readability and a "Space Mode" for quick field navigation. The version history indicates continuous development from 2001 to 2013, with significant additions like the real-time Field Day Map in 2003 and ADIF export in 2004, which allows for seamless integration with other logging platforms.

Demonstrates a specialized **DX cluster** designed to support the annual Jamboree On The Air (JOTA) event, facilitating real-time spotting for participating Scout stations. While its web interface has been discontinued due to security concerns, the cluster remains fully operational and accessible through standard cluster software. Operators can connect to the JOTA cluster by pointing their client to www.pi4raz.nl on port 7300. This setup allows for the exchange of **DX spots** and other operational information relevant to JOTA participants, ensuring that Scouts and their amateur radio mentors can continue to make contacts and log stations during the event.

TNXQSO.com offers a streamlined **log search** utility, specifically designed to consolidate QSL information for **DXpeditions** and special event stations. This online service aggregates data from prominent logging platforms such as Club Log, Logbook of The World (LoTW), and HRDLog, presenting a unified interface for radio amateurs to verify their contacts. The platform aims to simplify the process of confirming QSOs by providing direct links to the respective logging services, allowing users to quickly ascertain if their contact has been uploaded and confirmed. Users can input a callsign and band to retrieve immediate results, indicating whether a QSO is present in the linked logs. The service also supports DXpedition teams by offering tools for managing their own logs and QSL routes, without requiring an account for general log searching. This functionality proves particularly useful for DXers seeking rapid confirmation of rare contacts or for those managing their QSLing efforts across multiple platforms after a significant operating event.

Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) is an annual Scouting event held on the third full weekend of October, coinciding with Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI). This global event facilitates communication among Scouts worldwide using amateur radio, enabling participants to exchange Scouting experiences and ideas over short-wave signals. It serves as an educational platform for Scouts to learn about wireless radio techniques and basic electronics. Participation necessitates the support of at least one licensed amateur radio operator or a local amateur radio club. National amateur radio organizations can assist in locating local operators. Licensed operators, having passed technical examinations, may host Scouts at their stations, transport equipment to Scout headquarters, or establish temporary stations in various locations. Depending on national regulations, Scouts may speak directly over the air, or special permission might be required, with the licensed operator making contacts on their behalf. Operators are encouraged to familiarize themselves with Scouting principles to facilitate more informative and engaging exchanges.
