Version 7.22 of XMLog provides a fix for an issue where the ARRL LoTW application TQSL produced error messages concerning invalid "MY-COUNTRY" values, ensuring smoother integration for award submissions. The software supports flexible log searching, allowing users to select log subsets based on any field, such as RTTY QSOs on 40 meters during a specific month, or entries for a single country with sent but unreceived QSLs. XMLog tracks DXCC, WAZ, WAS, county hunting, IOTA, and grid square awards, managing QSL sent/received status and submission status to award sponsors, with LoTW crediting for DXCC and WAS. It generates detailed reports summarizing QSL status by band and mode, identifying needed countries/states/zones, and listing critical QSOs that could boost award totals. The system also integrates with callbook services like QRZ.com (subscription required) and WM7D.net for lookups, and facilitates QSL and mailing label printing using standard or custom layouts. Further capabilities include ADIF, Excel, and CSV log import/export, a Packet Window for Internet PacketCluster nodes or TNCs with history and scripting, and vocal/CW alerts for needed QSOs based on PacketCluster spots. Rig control is supported for a wide array of Alinco, Elecraft, Flex, Heath, Icom, JRC, Kenwood, TenTec, and Yaesu transceivers, enabling frequency/mode synchronization and control. CW support is provided via a serial port interface compatible with N1MM or K1EL WinKeyer, allowing CW sending from a keyboard or pre-programmed messages.

KaWin is a legacy digital RF data communications program designed to harness the full potential of Kantronics Terminal Node Controllers (TNCs) via their proprietary Host Mode. Serving as a central hub for the digital shack, it gave operators running packet radio or DX clusters a native graphical interface to seamlessly manage RF traffic across up to four simultaneous TNCs. The primary limitation today is extreme software obsolescence. KaWin is a completely unsupported, discontinued product running exclusively on legacy operating systems, peaking at Windows 95. Modern shacks cannot run it natively; it strictly demands antiquated hardware like physical RS-232 serial ports with 16550 UARTs, dedicated IRQ assignments to prevent RX/TX buffer overruns, and specific legacy TNC firmware EPROMs. Despite being a relic, its benefits for the dedicated digital DXer were substantial. By fully exploiting Kantronics Host Mode rather than basic KISS configurations, it maximized on-the-air throughput and station efficiency. For retro-computing hams restoring vintage packet stations, KaWin still provides a robust environment that successfully bridged raw RF data routing with a highly functional, multitasking graphical user interface.

This program lets you cross connect Telnet connections and ComPorts or Ethernet. It can be used as a backup connection for PacketCluster nodes or to connect a CT network to a remote PacketCluster.

Operating in challenging RF environments, DeepCW provides real-time Morse code decoding capabilities through a neural network model. The software excels at robustly interpreting weak signals, mitigating the effects of QSB, and performing effectively in noisy conditions, a common issue for CW operators. It also supports multi-channel decoding, allowing for the simultaneous interpretation of multiple CW signals present in the audio stream. The application integrates audio pass-through functionality, enhanced with deep-learning-based noise reduction to clean up the incoming audio before decoding. Benchmarking data indicates a 0.00% error rate from 0 to -4 dB SNR, with errors remaining below 1.5% at -8 dB SNR and under 8% at -10 dB SNR across the full range of CW speeds. The project provides comparative analyses against established decoders such as _CW Skimmer_, _fldigi_, and _ggmorse_, utilizing publicly available CW QSO videos from YouTube to demonstrate its performance. DeepCW is designed for cross-platform deployment, supporting Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS operating systems. The core _DeepCW Engine_, which houses the decoding model and a reference implementation, is available separately, offering Python and Node.js examples for decoding from WAV audio files.

The goal of this interesting project is to monitor a particular set of frequencies for a set period of time. In this article your will find instructions to build and operate an all-band WSPR node using cheap hardware and free software. At the end of this you'll have a Raspberry Pi, connected to an RTL-SDR dongle that monitors all of the WSPR frequencies rotating randomly every 15 minutes.

The Covey Hill Amateur Radio Club operates a 146.685 MHz analog repeater with an 88.5 Hz PL tone, alongside several digital repeaters. The resource details specific frequencies and modes for D-STAR (145.590 MHz, 1266.300 MHz voice, 1297.675 MHz data on 23 cm), DMR-Marc (448.525 MHz), DMR-Brandmeister (441.750 MHz), Yaesu Fusion (449.725 MHz), and P-25 Digital (147.315 MHz). It also lists Echolink node 595040 (VE2REX-R) as an access point for the club's network. A recent update, dated June 19, 2024, announces the VE2REX analog repeater and Echolink are fully functional again, after resolving issues including a conflicting 100.0 Hz tone, software repairs for Allstar and Echolink, a suspected defective USB port on the Mini PC, and a faulty exciter in the Motorola Quantar repeater. Guy, VE2VMT, was instrumental in troubleshooting these problems. The club, established in 1994, provides a calendar, news, links, and membership information, with Linda Cullen, VE2NJK, serving as president and VA2DBJ as webmaster.
