The RI1FJL DXpedition to Franz Josef Land, planned for August 2026, will deploy at least five high-power stations operating 24/7 across all **HF bands** for 15 days. The team of six operators, including R7AL and UA3QLC, will depart Murmansk on August 7, 2026, aboard a 20-meter sailing yacht, aiming for Heiss Island (IOTA: EU-019, QTH Loc.: LR80tn, CQ zone: 40, ITU zone: 75). Operating modes will encompass CW, SSB, and FT8, with specific FT8 frequencies like 1836.0 kHz and 14095.0 kHz designated for MSHV software. Equipment includes EE SUNSDR2 DX and Elecraft K3 transceivers, paired with Expert 1.3K-FA power amplifiers, and a variety of antennas such as Spiderbeams and phased GPs for 40m, 80m, and 160m. The expedition emphasizes working distant regions and low-power stations, acknowledging the challenging Arctic conditions with average temperatures around 1-3°C below zero. The logistical planning includes securing accommodation at the Geophysical Polar Observatory on Heiss Island and navigating potential ice conditions for zodiac landings. QSL information specifies ClubLog uploads at least daily, with OQRS available for direct and bureau QSLs. Donors contributing $10 or more receive fast LoTW confirmation and direct QSL cards, while Platinum Donors of $100+ will have their callsigns featured on the QSL card. A special plaque is offered for two QSOs with RI1FJL on different bands or modes.

SDR Television v1.0 operates as a DVB-S2 / AAC / H264 / H265 program, specifically engineered for QO-100 satellite Digital Amateur Television (DATV) operations. It provides a full-duplex solution on modern x86 computers running Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit, 8+ cores, AVX2 support recommended), leveraging DLLs from _SDR Console_ for control of devices like _Pluto_ and _LibreSDR.TV_. The software requires installation of the SDR Radio kit for wideband mode support. Initial development focused on a proof-of-concept for QO-100, with future enhancements planned to include H266 / AV1 / Opus codecs and an improved cross-band user interface. The current stable release functions reliably for QO-100 DATV. Users must install the SDR Radio kit, followed by the SDR Television kit, into the same directory. Support inquiries are handled via the SDR-Radio.com mailing list, ensuring direct assistance for operational questions.

This online tool is a specialized web-based utility for orchestrating multi-operator HF contest and DXpedition activities. This tool, _Rig2Cast_, assists station managers in meticulously planning operator shifts, ensuring adequate rest periods, and crucially, preventing operational conflicts such as assigning a single operator to multiple radios concurrently. It integrates support for SO2R operations and offers real-time simulation of operator requirements, a feature I've found invaluable in pre-event planning. The scheduling engine incorporates five distinct algorithms: greedy fairness balancing, round robin, maximum coverage, simulated annealing, and a fatigue-aware model. These algorithms enforce critical constraints like minimum/maximum shift durations and mandatory rest times across all radios, which directly impacts operator performance over long events. My field experience confirms that such robust constraint management is essential for maintaining peak efficiency during intense operations. Key features include distributed multi-station support, printable per-operator cards, flexible band activity windows, and real-time editable operator slots. The drag-and-drop shift management, coupled with full cross-radio swap support and smart constraint feedback (valid targets in green, invalid in red), streamlines complex scheduling tasks. The system's design ensures user data privacy, as no information is stored on the server; schedules are saved and reloaded locally.

The St Paul Island CY9C DXpedition is scheduled for August 26, September 5, 2024. All bands from 160-6 meters are planned.

Presents the S21WD DXpedition to Bangladesh (IOTA **AS-140**) scheduled for 2026, organized by the Next Generation DX Club e.V. It outlines the project's progress, including final hardware and systems testing, and the team's successful arrival and activation from the target location. The resource provides a concise summary of Bangladesh, covering its geography, cultural aspects, and economic landscape. The page includes the Clublog Most Wanted ranking for Bangladesh, categorized by continent and mode, as of January 2026. The DXpedition aims to achieve over 70,000 QSOs across CW, SSB, RTTY, and FT8 modes, with a specific focus on RTTY (targeting over 2,000 QSOs) and **lowband** operations. The team plans a Multi-Single entry in the ARRL CW 2026 contest. QSO data will be uploaded to Clublog and LoTW, with Clublog livestream and daily free LoTW uploads anticipated, contingent on stable internet connectivity. The S21WD callsign corresponds to CQ Zone 22 and ITU Zone 41. Further details include a preliminary bandplan, FT8 operating guidelines using MSHV software, a VOACAP DX Prediction link, and an azimuthal map centered on Bangladesh. QSL services are managed by DJ4MX via Clublog OQRS, offering direct, bureau, and LoTW options, with daily LoTW uploads expected.

HAMgpt offers a personalized amateur radio experience, leveraging AI to provide real-time operational guidance. It integrates live propagation data, current band conditions, and operator-specific context, including callsign, QTH, license class, and station equipment, to deliver relevant answers. The system can identify open HF, VHF, and UHF bands, suggest workable DXpeditions and POTA/SOTA activations, and provide accurate repeater offsets and CTCSS/DCS tones for local repeaters. Unlike general-purpose chatbots, HAMgpt avoids fabricating frequencies or license privileges, instead relying on actual data for its responses. It supports antenna design calculations for various types like Yagi, dipole, vertical, and magnetic loop antennas, offering to-scale dimensions. The platform also assists with license exam preparation and provides satellite pass predictions tailored to the user's location. It supports multiple countries, including the United States (FCC Technician, General, Extra), Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, and Argentina, incorporating their specific band plans and power limits.

The XW4DX DXpedition website documents the amateur radio operation from Laos, a country ranked #98 on Clublog's Most Wanted list. This resource provides insights into the planning and execution of a significant DXpedition, including antenna choices like _Hexbeams_ at 14m, a 4-square for 40m, and a top-loaded vertical for 160m. The team, comprising operators such as _F4BKV Vincent_ and _F2DX Patrick_, focused on challenging paths, particularly towards the North American East Coast, where Laos is #41 most wanted. Operational constraints included prohibitions on 6m, 30m, 60m, and 80m bands within Laos, necessitating a focus on other HF frequencies, especially 160m and 40m. The expedition utilized up to five stations simultaneously, with equipment transportation being a major logistical challenge, partially mitigated by direct shipments from _Spiderbeam_ and donor support. The expedition ran from November 16th to 27th, 2023, with the complete XW4DX log uploaded to LoTW by December 23rd, 2023. This site serves as a historical record of their efforts to put Laos on the air for DXers worldwide.
