Demonstrates the construction of **magnetic loop antennas**, detailing both multi-turn and single-turn designs. It covers a 30-inch diameter multi-turn loop for 80 meters, based on a February 1996 QST article, and an octagon single-turn loop made from 15mm copper tube with a 4.8-meter circumference, operating from 7 MHz to 14 MHz. The document also presents a smaller 800mm diameter loop for 14 MHz to 28 MHz, emphasizing the importance of high-voltage tuning capacitors. Covers the design and construction of custom **butterfly capacitors** and piston capacitors, including a split stator capacitor with 140 pF capacitance and a 6000 Volt rating, and a butterfly capacitor with 5-65 pF and 7200 Volt rating. It explains why butterfly capacitors are preferred over split stator types for high power applications due to lower losses and direct series connection of rotors, reducing resistive losses from wiper contacts. Material recommendations include clear PVC for plates and brass or stainless steel for non-magnetic hardware. Addresses practical considerations such as feeding the loop with a shielded 1/5 Faraday loop made from RG213 or RG8 coax, achieving VSWR 1.1 across bands, and optimizing its placement 180° from the capacitor. It also discusses mechanical joint resistance, dissimilar metal oxidation prevention using Vaseline, and a simple method for determining radiation angle with a TL-light tube. The guide includes diagrams for rotor, stator, and end plate construction.

Users input their desired operating frequency to generate specific measurements, enabling construction for HF, 2 meters, 220 MHz, 440 MHz, and higher frequencies. The tool supports designs using materials like aluminum or copper, offering flexibility for homebrew enthusiasts. Operational guidance includes recommendations for integrating a **choke balun** near the feedpoint to mitigate RF on the feedline, thereby improving SWR accuracy. For 2-meter operation, a suggested choke configuration involves four turns of coax with a 5-inch diameter, positioned within 3 to 4 inches of the feedpoint. Additional builder hints detail cost-effective construction methods, such as utilizing 1/2-inch EMT conduit and 1/4-inch soft copper for the 'J' section. The resource also references K4ABT's articles in CQ Magazine, specifically "The Packet Users Notebook," providing further technical context and design principles for antenna builders.

Constructing a 2-meter 5/4 wave antenna, N1HFX details a design fully enclosed within 3/4-inch PVC tubing, addressing the significant velocity factor of PVC which necessitates a 19% reduction in physical length. The design incorporates a specific matching system using 300-ohm TV twin lead to counteract the highly inductive impedance component inherent in a 5/4 wave radiator. Key components include #18 stranded insulated wire for the radiating element, RG58/U coax, a PL259 connector, and a hardwood dowel for internal support, all carefully dimensioned for optimal performance within the PVC housing. The article provides precise cutting lengths for the twin lead and #18 wire, with the overall assembly measuring 77 3/4 inches, reflecting an approximate velocity factor of 0.81. Tuning instructions emphasize taking SWR readings with the antenna assembly inside the PVC, adjusting the #18 wire and twin lead in small increments to achieve a low SWR across the 2-meter band. The prototype antenna achieved SWR readings below 1.2:1 across the entire band, and N1HFX suggests an estimated 6 dB gain when properly mounted, offering a cost-effective alternative to commercial antennas.

Optimizing the impedance transformation and common-mode current suppression in antenna systems often involves selecting an appropriate balun. This project presents a **hybrid balun** design, combining characteristics of both voltage and current baluns to achieve superior performance, particularly when used with an antenna tuner. The design addresses issues like **common-mode current** on the feedline, which can distort the antenna's radiation pattern and introduce RFI in the shack. The construction details include winding techniques for the toroid core, component selection, and practical considerations for integration into an existing antenna system. Performance comparisons are drawn against conventional balun types, highlighting the hybrid balun's effectiveness across the HF bands. The resource provides insights into the current distribution and impedance matching properties, crucial for efficient power transfer and reduced SWR.

Determining the actual need for an antenna tuner often hinges on the specific antenna and feed line configuration in use. While many hams believe a tuner is always essential, its primary role is to present a 50-ohm impedance to the transceiver, not to "tune" the antenna itself. For instance, a resonant dipole fed with _coaxial cable_ at its design frequency typically requires no tuner, as the feed line impedance closely matches the radio's output. However, operating a non-resonant antenna, or using a resonant antenna on multiple bands, frequently necessitates a tuner to manage high Standing Wave Ratio (SWR) on the feed line. The article clarifies that a tuner placed at the transceiver only matches the radio to the feed line, not the antenna to the feed line. For maximum efficiency with a non-resonant antenna, an _automatic antenna tuner_ (ATU) or a remote tuner placed at the antenna feed point is often more effective, minimizing losses in the feed line. The discussion also touches on the practical implications of SWR, noting that modern transceivers often fold back power at high SWR, making a tuner a practical necessity to achieve full output power, even if the antenna itself is not perfectly matched.

This setup was successfully tested with up to 20 watts RF power without arcing or adverse effects on the servo, though tuning was performed at 1 watt for VSWR readings. The resource highlights the use of inexpensive, readily available components, such as Futaba servos, and details critical considerations like power supply decoupling with a 47uF capacitor to prevent unintended servo movement upon power-off. The system provides a practical solution for optimizing antenna performance for specific frequencies without manual adjustment at the antenna itself.

Presents the KE4UYP linear-loaded vertical antenna design, which introduces very little loss on 80 or 160 meters, achieving an overall radiation efficiency of 80% to 85%. This design addresses common pitfalls of traditional base-fed verticals by placing the majority of the current at the top of the antenna, eliminating the heavy reliance on extensive ground radial systems. The author's initial 10-meter model, only three feet tall, yielded 5/9 signal reports to Anchorage, AK, and Europe, confirming its effectiveness. The antenna incorporates both vertically and horizontally polarized radiators, with a 1/4 wavelength horizontal counterpoise located at the feed-point, near the top, to create an almost totally omnidirectional pattern with high wave angle horizontally polarized radiation. This dual polarization ensures even illumination across all take-off angles, making it effective for both local contacts and **DXing**. The vertical element is linear loaded, adding capacitance reactance and making it longer than the horizontal element to achieve resonance and raise the feed-point impedance to 50 ohms. Fine-tuning the antenna requires careful adjustment, as tower reactance can vary. The article suggests starting with 80 feet for 80m and 170 feet for 160m for the vertical wire, then trimming for resonance. Bandwidth specifications include 300 kHz under 2:1 **SWR** on 80m and 100 kHz on 160m when suspended between trees, or 150 kHz on 80m when side-mounted on a tower.

Building a directional antenna for limited space, M0MRR shares his experience constructing a 10-meter Moxon rectangle. Initially using fiberglass fishing poles and a plastic breadboard, he achieved a 1:1.2 SWR across the band with 50 watts, making contacts as far as PY2TO from the UK. The design incorporates 10-amp power cable for elements and RG58 coax with crocodile clips for feeding, demonstrating a cost-effective approach. His field observations confirm the directional properties, noting European signals fading when facing Stateside, and receiving better reports from stations in the antenna's favored direction. While not formally measured, the front-to-back ratio appears effective. The initial build was somewhat flimsy, intended for temporary deployment, but proved effective for DX. Later, M0MRR constructed a more robust 10-meter Moxon using tubular aluminum pipe, indicating an evolution in his design approach for durability. The project highlights practical antenna building for small backyards, emphasizing the benefits of a directional antenna even with modest power.

The Bruce array is a simple, often-forgotten wire antenna array that is advantageous for 80 and 160 meters, where typical gain antennas are very large. This bi-directional broadside vertical array is only 1\4 lambda high and does not require a ground system. It offers substantially greater SWR bandwidth than the half-square or bobtail curtain. A 4-element Bruce array used by N6LF showed a gain of about 4.6 dB compared to a 1\4 lambda vertical with 8 elevated radials, with a 2:1 SWR bandwidth greater than 400 kHz. The antenna is simple and its dimensions are flexible.

Presents a crystal-controlled CW transmitter design for the 40-meter band, delivering 5 to 7.5 watts output power. The design emphasizes direct 50-ohm coax connection without a separate matching system, though a 1:1 choke _balun_ is recommended. The guide provides practical advice on element construction, corner fabrication using L-stock or radius-bent tubing, and the critical side-to-side length adjustment for SWR optimization. It details the feedpoint assembly using a chassis-mounting coax connector and discusses element-to-boom plate options, including spar varnished plywood or LE plastic. The author's experience with a test model on a 20-foot mast confirms stable feedpoint characteristics and excellent performance even at lower heights. The document also includes insights into the antenna's free-space azimuth patterns, noting a broad forward lobe and significant front-to-back rejection. It contrasts the Moxon with traditional Yagis, positioning it as an effective, home-buildable alternative for compact sites or _Field Day_ operations, particularly beneficial during periods of increased 10-meter activity.

2m SSB/CW-12.5 Ohm Yagis with extrem high gain and small bandwidth. These Yagis were constructed as ultra-light, portable Yagis with extrem high gain. They have small bandwidth and are working from 144,0-144,8MHz with good SWR.

The KD6WD Moxon Antenna Project details the construction of 50-ohm two-element wire beam antennas, specifically Moxon rectangles, for the 10, 15, 17, and 20-meter bands. It utilizes AC6LA's software for critical measurement calculations (A-E) based on center frequency and wire size. Construction involves 16-gauge silver-coated copper wire, 16-foot telescoping fiberglass crappie fishing poles as spreaders in an "X" configuration, and various hub designs including aluminum tubing or PVC joints. A 1:1 current balun is used at the feedpoint, with wire nuts for connections, often achieving a 1:1 SWR across the design band. The project highlights practical applications, such as running a kilowatt into the antennas for greyline DX contacts, consistently yielding excellent signal reports. Comparisons to quad loops show 4 to 5 S-unit improvements in both receive and transmit. The Moxon design, according to L.B. Cebik's analysis, offers superior forward gain and front-to-back ratio among wire beams. The author notes a "DX-Vane" effect where a freely suspended Moxon automatically points to the strongest DX signal. Attempts at dual-band operation (17/20 meters) with a single feed were unsuccessful, reinforcing the Moxon's monoband nature, with EZNEC plots provided for a 17-meter Moxon at 30 feet.

WB2VUO presents a practical examination of effective HF mobile antennas, focusing on the inherent efficiency challenges encountered on the lower bands, specifically 160, 80, and 40 Meters. The resource delves into the necessity of loading coils for mobile operation below 21 MHz, where full-sized antennas are impractical. It contrasts base-loaded and center-loaded designs, noting that base-loaded antennas are simpler for the average ham to construct but offer lower efficiency compared to center-loaded configurations. The author provides specific data for an 8-foot whip, detailing its electrical length and _radiation resistance_ across various HF bands, from **0.08 ohms** on 160 Meters to **16.1 ohms** on 12 Meters. This data highlights the extremely low radiation resistance on lower frequencies, which significantly impacts feedpoint impedance due to ground and feedline losses. The discussion includes practical considerations for feedpoint impedance, noting that a typical 8-foot whip on 10 Meters might present 30-45 ohms, allowing for acceptable SWR without an ATU. Construction sketches illustrate both base-loaded and center-loaded mobile antennas, with advice on material selection like galvanized steel for rugged bottom sections. The article also includes coil value charts from the _ARRL Mobile Manual_ for both base and center loading, emphasizing the importance of using large diameter wire to minimize losses and suggesting capacity hats to reduce coil inductance and improve performance on 160-40 Meters.

The article details antenna tuning procedures, emphasizing SWR measurement and adjustment for both mobile and base station setups. It explains that SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) is the ratio of transmitted power to reflected power, with high SWR indicating poor impedance match and potential damage to a transceiver's final amplifier. Specific instructions are provided for CB antennas operating between 26-27 MHz, recommending initial SWR checks on channels 1, 20, and 40 to determine if the whip needs shortening or lengthening. Adjustments should be made in small increments, approximately 1/4 inch at a time, aiming for an SWR of 1.5:1 or better. For _Ham radio_ and other antennas, the same tuning principles apply, with a strong caution regarding RF energy exposure when operating at higher power levels. The resource suggests tuning base antennas at ground or roof level before final installation to simplify adjustments. It also advises rechecking SWR after final installation to confirm no changes occurred. The _Alpha Rubicon_ resource highlights the importance of a good ground plane for mobile antennas and proper coax routing to avoid pinching or proximity to electrical wires.

Such files typically include **NEC models** or similar data, allowing for performance analysis and optimization before physical construction. The emphasis on "optimized wideband" suggests design considerations for SWR bandwidth and gain characteristics over a broader frequency range than typical narrow-band Yagis. The resource serves as a direct source for specific, proven antenna designs from a known amateur radio antenna designer, offering practical data for hams interested in building high-performance Yagi arrays for HF.

The K5OE 2-meter vertical mobile antenna design, detailed in this resource, employs a 3/8-wavelength vertical section complemented by four shortened radials, forming an off-center-fed vertical dipole. This configuration creates a self-contained lower half, enhancing efficiency compared to traditional 1/4-wave monopoles relying on vehicle bodies for a ground plane. The article specifies construction using PVC components, 10-gauge insulated wire for elements, and provides precise dimensions in both inches and centimeters for the 25-3/16" (64 cm) vertical and 7-3/16" (20 cm) radials. Performance data indicates an honest 3 dBi of gain at 6 feet elevation (2 dBi free-space), with a pattern favoring the horizon, suitable for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communications. At 20 feet high, the same antenna exhibits almost 6 dBi of gain, with a nominal 50 Ohm feedpoint impedance at 146.850 MHz. Tuning instructions involve trimming element lengths, with the author achieving a 1.2:1 SWR by pruning the mast to 24-3/4" and radials to 7". The resource highlights the antenna's effectiveness for mobile LEO satellite uplinks, particularly at low elevations, and its suitability for fixed, mobile, or portable operations. The flexible wire elements allow for easy folding, making it a practical choice for backpacking. The original design by K5OE was previously hosted on aol.com.

The resource details the construction and performance of a dual-band 40/30 meter _Moxon_ antenna, evolving from an initial single-band 30-meter design that failed in a storm. It specifies materials such as four 10-meter fishing rods, galvanized iron TV antenna support pipes, 1mm diameter PVC-covered copper wire, and a piece of 75-ohm TV satellite cable for feedline. The document outlines the iterative design process, including initial resonance measurements of 9.9 MHz for 30 meters and subsequent recalculations to shift the center frequency by 300 kHz using _Moxon software_. Initial testing on a roof yielded SWR readings of 1.4:1 at 7.200 MHz and 1.5:1 at 10.280 MHz. After installation atop a 30-meter tower, the final SWR measurements were 1.1 at 7.130 MHz and 1.4 at 10.230 MHz, with a notable 30 dB front-to-back ratio on 40 meters. The 30-meter performance, while good, showed a front-to-back ratio of approximately 15 dB, suggesting a slightly high resonance. The antenna's placement on a 700-meter hill, with a significant ground drop in certain directions, is noted as a potential factor in its excellent DX performance, enabling daily contacts with the USA West Coast on 30 and 40 meters with 100 watts.

F6EZX presents a detailed account of constructing a compact, multi-band _Levy antenna_ for portable holiday operations, specifically addressing issues with local QRM from a previous _Deltaloop_ setup. The article outlines the design criteria, including multi-band operation on 40m, 30m, 17m, 15m, 12m, and 10m, a symmetrical configuration to reduce interference, and a low take-off angle for DX. Construction involves 2x 10.3m radiating elements and a 15.3m open-wire feeder (ladder line) with 7cm spacing, made from 1.5mm2 copper wire and foam pipe insulation spacers. Theoretical calculations, referencing F9HJ's "_Les antennes Levy_" book, guide the determination of element lengths and feeder impedance characteristics, aiming for a good match across bands with a commercial antenna tuner. Initial field tests with the _VCI Vectronics VC300DLP_ tuner showed a 1:1 SWR from 80m to 10m, with some difficulty on 17m. The antenna, mounted as a 45-degree slopper with the high point at 12m, successfully facilitated DX contacts to South America, particularly Chile and Argentina, suggesting a lower take-off angle compared to the previous Deltaloop which favored Brazil. The Levy antenna significantly reduced TVI/RFI, attributed to its improved symmetry and greater distance from the QRA. While signal reports on 15m and 20m were 1-2 S-points lower than the Deltaloop, its performance on 40m and 30m was comparable, fulfilling the design goals for a portable, low-cost, multi-band solution.

Constructing a **2-meter** J-pole antenna from readily available copper plumbing components offers a robust and cost-effective solution for VHF operation. This design, dubbed the "Plumber's Delight," functions essentially as a half-wave dipole fed by 50-ohm coax via a **gamma match**. It incorporates a quarter-wave copper tubing support, which, when affixed to a metal mast or tower, enhances forward power in the direction of the radiating elements. The original configuration utilized a small ceramic trimmer capacitor for the gamma match, suitable for up to 10 watts. A subsequent modification replaced this with a 50 pF variable capacitor housed in a plastic enclosure, accommodating higher RF power and improving weather resistance. The antenna elements are secured using a copper "T" fitting, and an SO-239 connector mounts directly to this fitting. Performance includes gain away from the support mast, and tuning is straightforward by adjusting the gamma match capacitor for a 1:1 SWR. The total cost for materials, excluding the capacitor and coax, can be under $10.

It also notes a gain difference of 1.5 dB down relative to a K3LR 4-element Yagi on a 50-foot boom, providing practical benchmarks for performance evaluation.

End-Fed Half-Wave Antennas (EFHWAs) are analyzed for their utility in portable QRP operations, emphasizing their simplicity, efficiency, and predictable radiation patterns compared to other portable antenna types. The discussion contrasts EFHWAs with vertical antennas, random length wires, and center-fed dipoles, highlighting the common pitfalls of each, such as ground system dependency for verticals and feedline issues for dipoles. The article details the electrical half-wavelength calculation using the formula L (Ft) = 468/F(MHz) and explains how EFHWAs can be resonant on harmonic frequencies, enabling multiband operation. Various deployment configurations are presented, including the inverted L, inverted Vee, sloping wire, and vertical setups, each with specific advantages for radiation angle and polarization. For instance, a vertical EFHWA offers a low angle of radiation suitable for DX contacts without requiring an extensive ground system. The resource also addresses the counterpoise requirements, suggesting a quarter-wavelength wire or connection to a metallic structure for decoupling. A schematic diagram for a simple parallel-tuned circuit tuner, based on the _Rainbow Bridge/Tuner_ design, is provided, detailing component values for 30 and 40 meters, including a 6 microhenry toroidal inductor and a 20-100 picofarad mica compression capacitor. The tuner's adjustment process for SWR matching is also outlined.

Details a practical QRP wattmeter construction, leveraging a simplified SWR meter design by JA6HIC. The project focuses on a forward-only power measurement circuit, providing a functional instrument for RF power levels from milliwatts up to 5 watts. It maintains a 50-ohm input and output impedance, suitable for typical QRP transceivers and antenna systems. The resource includes the schematic for the "VSW" (Very Simple Wattmeter) and outlines a six-step alignment procedure. This calibration process involves using a known RF source up to 5W, setting full-scale deflection, and marking power increments. It also addresses minimizing frequency effects on readings with a 100pF trimmer capacitor, noting that measurement error is highest at the lower end of the scale. Construction notes mention using a piece of RG-213 coaxial cable for the inductance and coupler, with the wattmeter assembled in early 2003. The author provides an example measurement showing 0.8W into a dummy load and 1W into a 3-element beam.

The N0KHQ Coax Square antenna, designed for 17 meters and built using RG-58 coaxial cable, presents an intriguing option for hams with limited space. L. B. Cebik, _W4RNL_, meticulously models and analyzes this array, clarifying its classification not as a modified Moxon, but as a distinct member of the "dual-coupled, 2-element, parasitic array" family. The design leverages the velocity factor of RG-58 (approximately 0.66-0.67) to achieve significantly shorter element lengths compared to full-size counterparts, resulting in a perimeter of 42 feet for the N0KHQ array versus 54 feet for a standard Moxon. _NEC_ modeling reveals the coax square's performance characteristics, including a forward gain of 5.6 dBi and a 23.7 dB front-to-back ratio on 18.118 MHz. While slightly less gain than a Moxon (6.0 dBi), its pattern exhibits Yagi-like nulls at 90 degrees, distinguishing it from the Moxon's wider beamwidth. The article also delves into the unique feedpoint considerations, explaining how the split braid and center conductor of the RG-58 driver effectively form a folded dipole, allowing for impedance transformation to achieve a good match for 50-Ohm cable. Despite its shortened elements, which inherently narrow the operating bandwidth, the coax square maintains satisfactory performance across the 17-meter band. The analysis emphasizes that while SWR curves are important, a holistic view of gain and pattern degradation across the band is crucial. This antenna is a viable solution for operators needing a compact, directional array, particularly for narrow bands like 17, 30, or 12 meters, where its high-Q performance is most effective.

Constructing a compact, two-band magnetic loop antenna for HF operation, especially from constrained locations like a balcony, presents unique challenges. OK1FOU's design, inspired by DJ3RW's 50 MHz loop, addresses these by employing an unusual side-fed configuration and placing the symmetric, two-section variable tuning capacitor at the bottom of the loop, directly connected to the coax shield. The article provides specific material recommendations, including two 1-meter wooden pales and about 3 meters of thick loudspeaker cable, noting the high current (60A at 100W) in the loop. Construction steps detail forming two turns with a 5 cm gap, using a GDO to pre-tune the open loop to a frequency slightly above the desired highest band, and then integrating the tuning and coupling capacitors. For 10/14 MHz, an open loop resonance of 16-17 MHz is suggested. Practical experience with the 10 MHz band from a third-floor balcony in Prague (JO70GC) shows a 1:1 SWR across most of the band without an external ATU. While DX traffic was modest due to the urban environment, QSO examples with RA6WF, LA6GIA, G0NXA, and LZ1QK on 10 MHz are provided, demonstrating its operational capability.

The Moxon Beam, introduced by L. Moxon (G6XN), is a compact 2-element Yagi featuring a radiator and reflector with reduced dimensions, approximately 75% the size of a full-size beam. This design utilizes bent element ends for capacitive loading, which is superior to inductive loading with coils, resulting in greater bandwidth and lower losses. DK7ZB details that while the gain is slightly lower (0.5-0.7 dB) than a full-size beam, the _Moxon_ offers an exceptional front-to-back (F/B) ratio of 30 dB or more on its design frequency, surpassing other 2-element beams. The article provides specific dimensions for building wire _Moxon_ antennas for bands from 30m down to 10m, and also mentions a 2-m-Moxon. Construction guidance includes using fishing rods for lightweight spreaders and an aluminum tubing spider for support. The resource highlights the utility of _Moxgen_ by AC6LA, a freeware program that simplifies Moxon beam design and generates EZNEC output files for further analysis and tapering modifications. The 2m Super Moxon version measures approximately 30" x 25", demonstrating the compact nature of the design across different VHF bands. The article highlights the antenna's performance in real-world DX contacts on 6m, achieving contacts with over 80 stations in the USA from a modest QTH.

Optimizing a G5RV or ZS6BKW multiband wire antenna for HF operation often involves addressing common SWR issues and understanding feedline characteristics. This resource chronicles the construction and performance evaluation of a G5RV, initially built for 80m, 40m, 15m, and 10m bands, by a newly licensed Foundation operator. The author details the selection of materials, including 3.5 mm stainless steel wire for the doublet arms and enameled copper wire for the open-wire feeder, and the initial decision to omit a balun based on common online information. The narrative highlights the initial disappointing performance, characterized by high receive noise and poor signal reports on 80 meters, despite the transceiver's internal ATU achieving a 1:1 match. This led to experimentation with a coax current balun and further research into G5RV myths, such as SWR claims and the necessity of a balun. The author then describes modifying the antenna to the ZS6BKW configuration, which involves specific changes to the doublet and feedline lengths, and integrating a 1:1 current balun wound on a ferrite toroid. The modifications resulted in improved reception and transmit performance across the bands.

Optimizing the ZS6BKW antenna for full HF band coverage often requires specific modifications beyond its standard configuration. This resource details several enhancements, beginning with a simple series capacitor to improve 80m SWR, a technique W5DXP found effective for permanent installation due to its minimal impact on higher bands. Further improvements include a 10-inch parallel open stub for 10m resonance, shifting the frequency to 28.4 MHz with an SWR of approximately 1.8:1, a practical solution for Technician class operators. The document then explores a switchable matching section, adding or subtracting one foot of ladder line at the 1:1 choke-balun, which significantly impacts higher frequency bands and eliminates the need for a tuner on 17m. W5DXP's _AIM-4170D_ antenna analyzer measurements confirm these effects. More advanced modifications involve a parallel capacitor for further 80m SWR reduction, requiring remote switching for multi-band operation, and relay-switched parallel capacitors at specific points on the 450-ohm matching section to achieve low SWR on 60m, 30m, and 15m. These detailed steps, including _Smith chart_ analyses for the challenging bands, aim to transform the ZS6BKW into a truly all-HF-band antenna, reflecting W5DXP's practical experience in antenna tuning.
