Logger32 is a well-established amateur radio logging program designed primarily for DXers who require a flexible and data-driven logging environment. The software maintains a comprehensive logbook database capable of handling large volumes of QSOs while offering detailed tracking of DXCC entities, awards, and band/mode statistics. One of the core strengths of Logger32 is its DX cluster integration. The program connects to telnet DX clusters and displays spots in real time, with filtering options by band, mode, country, or callsign. The cluster window can automatically highlight needed DXCC entities, band-fills, or new modes based on the operator’s log. Logger32 also provides rig control through CAT interfaces, supporting a wide range of transceivers via serial or USB connections. When properly configured, frequency and mode are automatically captured in the log entry window. The software supports digital mode integration through external applications and can exchange information using standard interfaces. Another important feature is its award tracking system, including DXCC, WAS, IOTA and other common amateur radio awards. The program calculates worked, confirmed, and needed entities with detailed reports. Logger32 supports ADIF import and export, allowing interoperability with other logging systems. It also includes QSL management, with tracking for bureau, direct, and electronic confirmations such as LoTW or eQSL when configured. Over 200 Telnet DX cluster entries are meticulously cataloged, each providing the cluster's callsign, IP address or hostname, and the specific port for connection. The resource details the geographic location for each cluster, often including grid square information or city/country, which is crucial for operators seeking regional or local spotting networks. For instance, **AB5K** offers both worldwide and USA/Canada-only spot feeds, while **K2LS** explicitly limits spots to USA/Canada/Caribbean Zones 1-8, excluding chat messages. The compilation serves as a practical reference for amateur radio operators who utilize traditional Telnet clients for real-time DX spotting. It presents a raw, unadorned list, prioritizing direct access information over elaborate interfaces. This format allows for quick integration into logging software or terminal programs that support Telnet connections. Distinctively, the resource focuses exclusively on Telnet access, differentiating it from web-based or aggregated cluster services. The sheer volume of listed clusters, spanning continents from Europe and North America to Asia and Oceania, makes it a robust tool for DXers and contesters aiming to monitor propagation and identify rare DX stations across various bands.

This resource provides access to the 59+ software collection, specifically highlighting the **59+ CW** module. The software enables the generation of Morse code signals for transmission through a COM port to a transceiver, or for audio output via a computer speaker, facilitating both keying and listening practice. Users can customize various parameters, including CW speed, tone frequency, dash/dot ratios, and PTT line delay, alongside defining keyboard shortcuts for common QSO fields such as callsign, QTH, name, and RST. The collection also includes the 59+ Logbook, which operates smoothly on Windows XP according to testing notes, though the CW application experienced startup issues on the same OS. The software was originally designed for older Windows operating systems, specifically Windows 95, 98, ME, and 2000. It is noted that the original idealog.net site is no longer active, and development for the 59+ suite appears to be discontinued. Analyzer and converter modules within the collection require registration and do not function in trial mode.

Capturing intermittent radio transmissions efficiently requires a robust audio recording solution that can intelligently manage disk space. Scanrec, a freeware Windows application, addresses this by providing a **Voice Operated Exchange (VOX)** control feature, enabling the recorder to activate only when audio signals exceed a user-defined threshold. This functionality is particularly effective for **FM communications** due to their strong squelch characteristics, minimizing recordings of static or noise. The software supports recording radio communications, air traffic control, and infrequently active channels, preserving disk space by pausing when no sound is detected. It incorporates an anti-clipping feature to ensure the beginning of audio events is not lost, a common issue with mechanical VOX systems. Output files are saved in WAV format, compatible with standard Windows Media Player. Scanrec operates on older Windows systems including Win95, Win98, NT, W2000, and XP, requiring minimal resources like a 486 PC, 4 MB RAM, and a sound card with line or microphone input. While optimized for FM, its VOX gate can be challenging to set for HF ham bands and World Band radio due to their poorer signal-to-noise ratios.

The project details modifications to an ARK-40 QRP CW transceiver kit, specifically replacing its original thumbwheel frequency selectors with a **BASIC STAMP BS-II microcontroller** and an optical shaft encoder. The redesigned control circuitry outputs a BCD code to the ARK-40's synthesizer, enabling more convenient knob-type tuning. This modification significantly alters the user interface, moving from discrete frequency selection to continuous tuning. Operating frequency is presented on an LCD readout, offering two distinct display modes: a "bandspread dial" mode that simulates an analog dial scrolling across the display in 1 kHz increments, and a conventional digital readout with 100 Hz resolution. Pushing the main tuning knob toggles between these modes, providing both rapid band traversal and fine-tuning capabilities. The software for the BASIC Stamp is written in P-Basic, addressing the challenge of accurate analog dial simulation. Physical modifications include fabricating a custom PC Board for the STAMP, mounting it with an L-bracket to the optical encoder, and creating a new front panel. The front-mounted speaker was relocated to accommodate the new tuning knob and display, transforming the **ARK-40 transceiver** into a more user-friendly rig with its built-in CW keyer and 5 watts of power.

Constructing a compact, directional antenna for the 6-meter band presents unique challenges, especially for operators with limited space or those seeking portable solutions. This project details the build of a 50 MHz Moxon rectangle, specifically engineered for balcony or temporary mast deployment, using readily available materials from a typical hardware store. The design emphasizes ease of construction and portability, allowing for quick setup and breakdown. The antenna's dimensions are precisely calculated using _Moxgen_ software for 50.200 MHz, ensuring optimal performance. Key construction techniques include using aluminum U-channel for elements, fiberglass driveway markers for insulation, and cable ties for secure assembly. The guide provides detailed instructions for fabricating the driven element, reflector, and boom, including a clever method for creating foldable element tips for transport. Performance observations indicate a respectable front-to-back ratio, capable of reducing an S7 signal to S0 when pointed away, and a modest gain over a simple wire antenna. The design incorporates a ferrite bead choke balun at the feedpoint to mitigate common-mode current and reduce shack noise, a critical consideration for urban or apartment-based operations.

NS6T's Azimuthal Map generator provides a web form for creating custom azimuthal projections centered on a user-specified QTH. Users can input their location using latitude/longitude coordinates, a Maidenhead grid square (e.g., IO91um), or a city name, with support for both US and international locations. The system processes these inputs to render a map displaying true bearings from the specified origin. Output customization includes options for distance, with a recommendation for 17500 kilometers and 8.5" x 11" paper size for integration with PSTRotator software. The generated PDF can be zoomed and clipped for use as a .jpg file in PSTRotator/Maps directories. The tool also offers an experimental color azimuthal map variant. City data for non-US locations is sourced from The World Gazetteer. The resource encourages user feedback and problem reports via comments on the associated blog, aiming for continuous improvement of the mapping utility.

CW Skimmer 2.1 employs a high-sensitivity CW decoding algorithm based on Bayesian statistics, enabling simultaneous decoding of up to 700 CW signals within a receiver's passband on a 3-GHz P4 system when paired with a wideband receiver.
